Dara’s back with another edition of The Greenlight Podcast, and this week he’s joined by singer-songwriter Galia Arad — all the way from “over the pond”, but firmly part of the Irish music fabric after more than a decade here.
They chat about how a temporary trip turned into 13 years in Ireland, the New York years, the surreal chain of events that led to xcrossing paths with Shane MacGowan and, ultimately, touring as a support act with Jools Holland.
Plus: signing with Rhubarb Records, gig nerves, and Galia’s work in Oberstown using music and podcasting to create a safe space for young people.
Galia's latest single 'That Was That' is out now!
Thanks to Galia for coming in and be sure to join Dara and The Greenlight Podcast each week for the stories behind songs of some of your favourite acts all powered by Heineken Greenlight.
Head to heinekengreenlight.ie for the latest ticket info and find us on the GoLoud app or wherever you get your podcasts.
