Search for IKIGAI and you will almost inevitably come across four circles:
What you love.
What you are good at.
What the world needs.
What you can be paid for.
In the middle: IKIGAI.
But this is where a common misunderstanding begins.
In this episode, we look beyond the familiar diagram and explore a different understanding of IKIGAI: less as a quick career-planning tool or a search for one big calling in life and more as a question of what already gives meaning to our lives today.
Why can small, everyday activities be part of our IKIGAI? What does continuous improvement have to do with it? And why might it be more useful to stop searching for the perfect life plan and start paying closer attention to what gives us energy, fulfilment and a sense that life is worth living?
Three questions to take away:
• What gives me energy?
• What fulfils me?
• What makes my life worth living?
