Welcome to Episode #3 of Campfire Cuts! In this episode, Diamonds sits down with AnimalGuy and Onyx for an in-depth, 25-minute conversation all about one of the most iconic big-game species in hunting games: the Elk.

We kick off the show with real-life Elk encounters before diving headfirst into virtual hunting talk across theHunter: Call of the Wild (COTW) and Way of the Hunter (WOTH). Together, we break down our best trophy harvests, debate which game currently holds the best—and worst—3D Elk models, and discuss the visual and rack improvements needed to bring in-game Elk up to true-to-life realism.

Plus, we each reveal our #1 biggest grievance with current in-game Elk, share our top strategies for tracking down Diamond scores and rare fur variants, brainstorm our dream "Great One" Elk concept (complete with atypical non-typical rack ideas!), and predict which upcoming map regional location and subspecies might bring us the next great Elk hunt.

In this episode, we cover:

• Real-world Elk sightings and field experiences

• Show-and-tell of our favorite and rarest trophy Elk harvests

• Animal model comparisons: COTW vs. WOTH (TruRACS, body proportions, and textures)

• The #1 issue holding back current in-game Elk representations

• Tips for finding Diamond-tier and rare fur Elk in-game

• Designing our ultimate "Great One" Elk wishlist and atypical rack concepts

• Speculating on future hunting game maps, regions, and Elk subspecies

Grab a seat by the fire, tune in, and let us know your thoughts on current in-game Elk models in the comments or community posts!
