On this episode of The Wisconsin Sportsman, Pierce sits down with DNR Deer Herd Health Specialist, Erin Larsen to learn all about the recent EHD outbreak in Southeast Wisconsin, as well as other deer trends across the state! Erin is a Minnesota-native and UW Stevens Point graduate who has spent over two decades with the Wisconsin DNR. In this conversation, Erin shares the most up to date info on EHD in Wisconsin, what EHD is, how it is transmitted, and what to expect in the future in the areas it's affecting. After that, shares updates on chronic wasting disease in Wisconsin, trends we're seeing across the state, ways to get your CWD test results more quickly, and what the future management of the disease looks like. All that and more in this week's episode!

Huge thanks to Erin for coming on the show! If you have any additional questions for her, you can reach out to her via email at: erin.larson@wisconsin.gov
