The day after surgery probably wasn’t the best time to hit record… which is exactly why we did it. 😂
In this episode, Caley is fresh out of surgery, still feeling the effects of the anesthesia and pain medication, and let’s just say… the conversation moves at a slightly slower pace than usual. Between the laughs, though, are some very real moments.
We talk about what this surgery felt like compared to previous ones in Caley’s cancer journey. Instead of the excitement that came with hearing “cancer-free,” this recovery brought more pain, more emotion, and a heavier heart as she supported her mom through her cancer journey. Sometimes healing isn’t just physical—it’s wrapped up in everything else life is asking you to carry. And some can feel the pain from one hospital to another.
It’s a raw, unfiltered snapshot of a moment we almost didn’t record… and we’re glad we did.
