"Get out of the house, get off the phone, get into life. And ask for what you want."
For Stas, sunshine shows up more often than most people stop to notice, it just takes pausing to appreciate it and act on it. The moment that changed everything traces back to a shift at a Verizon Wireless store in the early 2000s, when helping a stranded stranger and mentioning he had studied filmmaking led to a job on Gods and Generals, then the first season of The Wire. Discover how a photographer, director, and artist creating with AI, based in Brooklyn by way of Baltimore, still credits one small decision to help someone for the entire shape of his career, and why he believes trying things, even the ones that feel foolish, is never a waste of time.
