I recorded this while on vacation in Sweden. I share some thoughts on the differences in the psychology between the three countries, what living abroad has been like as an ENFP, how it has affected me as an individual, and how its changed how I coach my clients.

I'm taking a stand: ENFPs should never work a corporate job. After years of hedging, I'm finally saying it once and for all — and giving you my two main reasons so you can send this to whoever in your life keeps telling you to keep the "secure" 9-5. Reason one: our brains work differently. ENFPs light up the whole brain doing almost anything, which makes us creative, interdisciplinary, and full of ideas — but also means we burn through our energy far faster than the types built to grind out eight hours in a cubicle. Reason two: the corporate routine makes your life disappear. When every day is the same, time accelerates, and the years vanish. I get into how travel slows time back down, why the caffeine-and-cortisol survival method ends in burnout, and what to do instead — especially now that AI is dismantling the "security" corporate work supposedly offered in the first place. If you're an ENFP stuck in an office wondering why you're exhausted and restless, this one's for you.

ENFPs can do more in a week than most people manage in months — so why do we vanish for months at a time, ghosting our own projects, our audiences, and the people we care about?

After 7-8 months away, I'm back to talk honestly about the two real reasons ENFPs disappear. The first is losing your "why" — and I break down the three things a strong "why" actually needs: a reward that's genuinely yours, a process you enjoy, and the sense that your work leaves the world a little better. The second is quieter and more dangerous: the way negative associations pile up until avoidance becomes your default setting. I use the "rotten steak" problem to explain how one bad experience can poison something you used to love, and how that same mechanism turns small undone tasks into things you can't make yourself face.
