What if you could find a Psammead—a magical sand-fairy—who could grant your every wish? For Cyril, Anthea, Robert, and Jane, this enchanting discovery opens the door to a world of excitement and adventure. However, they quickly learn that wishing for beauty, wealth, and popularity comes with unexpected challenges! From dreaming of flying to living in a besieged castle or battling Red Indians in the English countryside, their wishes lead to uproarious mishaps and, more often than not, an early bedtime.
