  • From Woe to Worship
    2026/07/06

This morning, we conclude our series in the prophetic book of Micah. Written to call God’s people back to a right relationship with him, Micah’s prophecies both warn about the consequences of sin, and put forward the hope of restoration by grace. In a world broken by sin and heading toward God’s final judgment, how are we to live? Micah 7 teaches that God’s people should weep over the destructiveness
of sin, wait with hope for his salvation, and worship him for his astounding mercy, while those who are not yet his people must turn to him before it is too late.

  • The Need for Growing Together
    2026/07/13

Today we begin a new sermon series, How We Grow Together. As disciples, all Christians are on a lifelong journey of growing into the likeness of Jesus by faith. Remarkably, the Bible’s normal setting for a Christian’s growth is within, rather than apart from, the local church. In this first week we will begin in Hebrews where the author urgently points out the need we have for regular, intentional relationships bent upon our spiritual good. We’ll see that we must help one another hold firm to Christ, lest our hearts harden through sin’s deceit.

We continue our series in the prophetic book of Micah. Written to call God’s people back to a right relationship with him, Micah’s prophecies both warn about the consequences of sin, and put forward the hope of restoration by grace. Micah 6 sets a scene of a courtroom drama where God himself contends with a personified Israel. Through heeding the warnings of God’s final indictment of his people in Micah 6, we learn that God requires our heartfelt walk with him.

Today we continue our series in the Gospel of Luke, one of four eyewitness accounts of Jesus’ words and works. In them we learn of his life, death, and resurrection to rescue his people from among the neighborhoods of Seattle and the nations of the world. Today, Jesus turns to his disciples for a teaching moment. He helps us see that if we want to know the priorities of our heart, we should look at the priorities of our life. Then, ask, “Where is the Lord?”

We continue our series in the Gospel of Luke, one of four eyewitness accounts of Jesus’ words and works. In them we learn of his life, death, and resurrection to rescue his people from among the neighborhoods of Seattle and the nations of the world. Today, Jesus’ enemies try to trap him yet again. This time they use politics, but as usual he turns it around on them. Caesar and God are not automatic rivals. We are to give Caesar what is Caesar’s, and God what is God’s.
