  • Health Tech, Hard Founder Lessons and Women's Health: Dr Rumbi Mutenga
    2026/10/23

I'm joined by Dr Rumbi Mutenga, a doctor and the founder and CEO of Glacie Health, a women's health consultancy that helps design, launch and communicate women's health products, services and campaigns.

Rumbi didn't take the straight road into medicine. She was turned down for medicine at eighteen, trained as a midwife instead, and that's where her fire for women's health started. She qualified as a doctor during COVID, took her first step into health tech in her first year as a doctor, and now runs Glacie alongside her clinical work.

    We get into:
    • What training as a midwife taught her about the gaps in care for women
    • The skills clinicians already have that health tech needs, and how medical students can get started
    • Where technology can genuinely help patients, from smartwatches flagging irregular heartbeats to earlier diagnosis of endometriosis
    • Why AI scribes in the NHS could be worrying, and why innovation can take years to reach NHS patients
    • Her hardest lessons as a founder: pricing, revenue and letting someone go
    • Whether patients trust creators more than their own GP
    • Why she'd rather you tell her what ChatGPT said before your appointment
    • What men can actually do to help move women's health forward

  • Why Health And Wellness Brands Keep Getting Creators Wrong, with Co-Founder Reece Chamdal
    2026/09/10

Episode one. Before the guests, the origin story.

I'm joined by my co-founder Reece Chamdal, Talent Management Director at

Cortex Collective Agency, to talk about why we built a creator agency

specifically for health and wellness, and what the rest of the industry keeps

    getting wrong.

We get into how we actually met (student accommodation, first year of

university, mid-lockdown), why Reece walked away from dentistry after years of

studying it, and what working inside the pharmaceutical industry showed me

about the gap between how health brands market and how people actually decide

    what to trust.

Then the part that matters. Why treating a clinician like a lifestyle creator

doesn't work. Why credibility isn't just a degree, and why lived patient

experience counts. Why a creator with a small audience is often worth more

than one with a huge one. And the uncomfortable conversation we have with

brands who come to us wanting conversions on day one.

We finish with rapid fire hot takes, including one we properly disagree on:

whether AI will replace GPs within twenty years. Reece says yes. My dad is a

    GP. It got interesting.
