Jimmie Johnson joins Door Bumper Clear ahead of his final Cup Series start and says he’s finally ready to walk away. He talks about bringing the No. 48 back to Daytona one last time, and why his family might actually believe him this time.

Plus, Jimmie admits he got tired of the best job in the world. He opens up about wishing he’d had two more years with Chad Knaus, and explains why Legacy Motor Club’s tough season has been “self-inflicted.”

The crew also gets into Carson Hocevar tearing up 8 or 10 Legacy cars this year, and why Jimmie is still just eating his popcorn and watching. He also tells the story of the one time Chad gave him permission to wreck Kurt Busch at Richmond. It did not go as planned.

Leigh Diffey and Jeff Burton join Door Bumper Clear, and after a wild weekend at Charlotte, there was a lot to get into.

Jeff opens up about the biggest regret of his career: rushing out of victory lane after his first win at Texas, and skipping victory lane entirely when his brother Ward won the Daytona 500. He also explains why a $100 bill signed “first driver contract” by Richard Childress is hanging in his office.

Leigh tells the story of trying to set up a day with Ward Burton, and the text reply that came back. He also runs through the nicknames he’s picked up over the years, including a few you won’t hear on TV.

Then the conversation turns to the Chase. Kyle Larson didn’t win at Charlotte and still extended his lead. Chase Briscoe said he’d attack Larson from the start and did.
