Two moms. Real life. Zero filters.
The conversations we probably shouldn’t say out loud, but do anyway.
Motherhood, identity, marriage, careers, and everything in between.
No advice. No politics. Just honesty, and the chaos that comes with it.

  • Don't Tell the Kids… I'm Done Waking You Up
    2026/09/24

    Hey mama —

This week we're talking about the painful process of getting everyone to school on time. One of us tried a gentler way to get her teenager out of bed this week. It did not go the way she planned. Now the carpool is idling in the driveway, her husband thinks it's no big deal, and she's the only one in the house sweating. Something's gotta give.

Then it wanders, like it does: a kid who came home from a week at dad's suddenly offering to do the laundry, dimes that are still stuck to the wall, and a 26-year-old on a plane with a surprisingly deep take on sex that one of us wants to borrow for "the talk." Plus Siobhan's TV habit, which she cannot explain, and we cannot stop teasing her about.

Grab your coffee, hide in your car, and don't tell the kids. 🎧

  • Don't Tell the Kids… We're Only Taking Calls From Psychics
    2026/09/17

Hey mama — if you've ever read the book Signs, think we're capable of way more than we know, or asked for a sign and then talked yourself out of it — this one's for you.

Mel spent the weekend in the woods of upstate New York learning how to connect with what Laura Lynne Jackson calls your team of light. She came home with a bent spoon, a dime stuck to a hotel wall, and the sign she asked for and immediately regretted.

  • Don't Tell the Kids… Marie Kondo Gave Up Too
    2026/09/10

Hey mama — this week we're asking each other the uncomfortable one: what's the thing you know you should change and just… haven't? For Siobhan, it's the closet she can't open. For Mel it's the coffee she has no intention of giving up. (We did fact-check Marie Kondo mid-episode. Turns out she's on our side now.)

Somewhere in there we get into letting our kids struggle, the timer that saved Mel's mornings, and the phone conversation that will not go away.

Grab your coffee — we're on ours — hide in your car, and don't tell the kids. 🎧
