Don La Greca dreamed of playing professional baseball. Instead, he became one of the most recognizable voices in New York sports, building a career that would eventually bring him back to the team he grew up cheering for.
From ESPN Radio and The Michael Kay Show to becoming the television voice of the New Jersey Devils, Don has built a remarkable career fueled by passion, persistence, and a genuine love of sports.
But his journey was anything but predictable. After his baseball dreams ended, Don threw himself into college radio, took every opportunity to develop his skills, and learned that building a successful career sometimes means making unexpected choices and being ready when opportunity knocks.
In this episode of No Wrong Choices, Don shares the pivotal moments, influential relationships, and lessons that shaped his career. He also takes us behind the scenes of his legendary on-air rants, reflects on his longtime partnership with Michael Kay, and shares the remarkable story of how he eventually landed his dream job.
Along the way, Don offers valuable insights about preparation, perseverance, building relationships, and turning a lifelong passion into a profession.
