    I Shouldn’t Have Shot That Dogman! - Dogman Encounters Episode 653

    Tonight’s guest, Rick, had his Dogman encounter one night, in 1990, around dusk. He was sitting in church with his wife, at the time, when he realized he had heard the sermon the pastor was just starting to give. When he realized he had already heard it, he told his wife that he was going to take a ride in his 85 Chevy pickup truck to kill some time. Not long after he had left the church, he turned down a secluded road that hadn’t been used in a very long time. It was around 8 PM, so it was dusky/dark outside. To help him see better, he turned the overhead lights on, on his truck’s rollbar. Seconds after he did that, he saw a huge creature, that wasn’t supposed to exist, start climbing down the trunk of a tree that was about 50 yards from the side of the road. As the monstrosity was climbing down the trunk, Rick could hear its claws tearing the bark. At that point, Rick was rapidly approaching the part of the road that was closest to where the creature was. Curiosity got the best of him, so he stopped his truck and got out. Rick regrets getting out of his truck and he, especially, regrets what happened next.

    Tonight’s guest, Kevin Bennage, had his Dogman encounter in the shadow of the Bighorn Mountains of Wyoming, about 2 miles from home. His encounter left him shaken to the core. He was so rattled by the experience, he didn’t sleep a wink that night, when he got home. For some time, after he had that experience, he suffered from frequent night terrors.     On November 17th of 1995, tonight’s guest, Bruno Thompson, was scouting the forest where he and his Uncle Tony planned to deer hunt the next morning, in Wisconsin. Bruno had already spent countless hours in the woods by then, even though he was quite a bit younger. None of his prior experiences could have prepared him for what he experienced that night, however. He still heads into the woods now. He just looks at the woods differently than he used to.
