このコンテンツについて

|| Progressive Christian podcast for approaching faith with critical thinking, liberating from toxic religion, embracing doubt, and discovering a loving God. ||

Divinely Modern offers support and conversations for exploring faith in the modern world and finding divinity all around us. Although some conversations may relate to religion overall, this podcast specifically touches on the journey of deconstructing conservative Christianity.

My guests come from a wide range of backgrounds and offer an even wider range of ideas. Our goal is *not* to tell you what to believe but to offer a safe space to explore questions like: Can we find healthy spirituality after being hurt in the church? Can we reclaim the Christian faith as one that affirms women, science, mental health, LGBTQ+, body positivity, justice, and doubt? Let’s find out…

Off-Broadway play-writer, award-winner screenwriter, and theater and film producer Peter Fenton talks about his journey deconstructing the faith and discovering himself in his fictional writing. He particularly shares about his story called Abandon All Hope, which, spoiler, will definitely not have you abandon all hope but quite the opposite. This episode is about deconstructing the faith with humor and wit and keeping hope alive.
