What makes someone believe in a business idea before there’s any proof it will work?
In the first episode of Divinely Inspired Business, hosts Kelly and Evan Mimier share the story behind Forevergreen Farm, the specialty culinary farm they built in Colorado despite having no formal business training and no agricultural background.
What started as a small side hustle growing microgreens eventually became a six-figure business, allowed them to leave their traditional careers, and ultimately led them to purchase the farm property where they’re building the next chapter of their business and family life.
But this episode isn’t really about microgreens.
It’s about what happens before success is visible.
Kelly and Evan talk about entrepreneurship, taking risks, trusting intuition, following gut instincts, overcoming a scarcity mindset, visualization, prayer, manifestation, the law of attraction, synchronicity, resilience, perseverance, and the strange moments in life that can feel like something bigger is guiding you toward a particular path.
They share the reality behind their entrepreneurial journey: working their regular jobs while building the business at night, taking the leap to quit their careers, struggling financially during a frightening winter, questioning whether they had made a huge mistake, and continuing anyway.
They also explore some of the experiences that seemed almost too perfectly timed to be coincidence—including the unexpected chain of events that eventually led them to the property that became their farm.
Along the way, they discuss the practices and beliefs that shaped their journey: affirmations, visualization, meditation, prayer, self-belief, mindset, manifestation, faith, intuition, gratitude, hard work, preparation and taking action even when the outcome wasn’t guaranteed.
One of the questions at the heart of this episode—and this entire podcast—is:
Why are some people willing to believe something is possible before they have evidence that it will work?
Was it hard work? Preparation? Opportunity? Luck? Intuition? Mindset? Manifestation? God? Divine timing?
Maybe it’s some combination of all of them.
Divinely Inspired Business explores those questions through the real stories of entrepreneurs who followed ideas, took risks, persevered through uncertainty and ultimately created something that once existed only in their imagination.
Future episodes will feature entrepreneurs from different industries, backgrounds and belief systems. Some may describe their experiences through faith or God. Others may call it intuition, manifestation, synchronicity, the universe, source energy, mindset, subconscious belief, gut instinct, preparation or luck.
The goal isn’t to tell you what to believe. It’s to investigate something fascinating that appears again and again in entrepreneurial stories: ordinary people believing in extraordinary possibilities before they have proof.
If you’ve ever dreamed about starting a business, leaving your job, becoming an entrepreneur, turning a side hustle into a full-time business, creating financial freedom, following your intuition, changing your mindset, manifesting a dream, taking a leap of faith, or building a life that once seemed impossible, this podcast is for you.
