  • Skirt Lunches and War Zones: Guy de Maupassant's "Boule de Suif"
    2026/06/14

    Send us Fan Mail

Hey hey, did you miss us????

Just to reiterate what I said in the beginning of the episode: we'll have a sporadic summer schedule, with the goal of getting back to posting regularly in the fall, because I became a PARENT and it is DISTRACTING.

In the meantime, here is part one of our foray into Guy de Maupassant's famous tale of the Franco-Prussian war--a meditation on what we ask of each other, who really suffers during wartime, and how the rich basically always suck no matter where they're from. Enjoy! Love you lots!!
