In 1970 writer-director Mel Brooks made a movie called THE TWELVE CHAIRS starring Ron Moody, Frank Langella, Dom Deluise and Brooks himself in a small role. It got minimal distribution. It was released between 1968's THE PRODUCERS (for which Brooks won an Academy Award for Best Screenplay) and his mega hit BLAZING SADDLES. But the TWELVE CHAIRS, about two men pursuing diamonds in the 1930s in the Soviet Union sank with barely a trace. John Wesley Downey tells you all about it in this True Film Fan podcast and may even know where you can watch it for free.
