What if some of the moments we called the Holy Spirit were also shaped by emotion, pressure, and the people around us?
In this episode of Saying It Out Loud, we take an honest look at altar calls—the music, the urgency, the fear, the group response, and the pressure to make a decision right now.
That doesn’t mean those experiences weren’t real or that God wasn’t present. But maybe we should be willing to ask a harder question: If it’s really God, why are we afraid to give people time?
Maybe faith doesn’t always need a moment at the altar. Maybe sometimes the most honest response is to go home, wrestle with the questions, and keep listening.
