Ever wonder about Death and what happens when someone Dies?

Welcome to the "Dialogues About Death" Show, hosted by Chris Miller, the Funeral Home Owner and Director of Thomas Miller Mortuary & Crematory in Corona California. Chris is not your stereotypical mortician. As a child, he actually grew up in a funeral home. As a matter of fact, his current office used to be his boyhood bedroom. So, he has a lifetime of experiences to share.

In this Podcast, Chris offers his take on various topics including grief, hope, loss, legacy and the blessings that come through the process. Each episode provides clear, compassionate insights and ideas on honoring your loved ones memories. He also delves into practical topics, all while cutting through industry jargon.

Whether you're navigating personal grief or seeking professional guidance, these conversations are designed to help you understand and cope with life's most challenging transitions. Feel free to reach out to us for any questions, support, or to discuss how we can assist you in commemorating the lives of your loved ones.

  • Dialogues About Death | E27 How to Use Food, Music & Rituals to Remember and Heal
    2025/10/25

In episode 27 of the "Dialogues About Death" Show we will explore “How to Use Food, Music and Rituals to Remember and Heal.”

Whether you’ve lost someone recently or simply want to deepen your understanding of meaningful remembrance, this episode will shine a light on how food, song and ritual can knit together memory, celebration, and comfort.

Some of the questions we'll discuss are:

    1. Music often evokes strong emotions and memories. In what ways can choosing particular songs or creating a playlist become a ritual that honors life, helps those grieving, and opens a space for healing?

    2. Many rituals around death are traditional and public ...but what are small everyday rituals families can use (in the home, kitchen, playlist, memory box) to keep a relationship with the deceased alive, not just in memory but in practice?

    3. How do cultural traditions (for example food offerings, music styles, ancestral rituals) shape the way families remember and heal ...and how might families adapt or personalize these traditions when they don’t neatly align with their own background or beliefs?

Watch the episode HERE on our Facebook page or YouTube Channel and join the conversation!

Hope you'll come on live to watch, ask questions or just enjoy... invite a neighbor, tell a friend, and let’s build the kind of community that helps us all thrive!

    • Hear why nearby Loma Linda is a real-life Blue Zone example and what that looks like locally.

But here’s the truth: what David Sconce did isn’t the Norm—it’s the Nightmare.

This Friday, join us for a raw, honest conversation with two well-respected, multi-generational funeral directors: Chris Miller from California and Kim Hunter from Canada, who are ready to pull back the curtain on how funeral service should be done: with compassion, ethics, and heart.

On Episode 25 of the Dialogues About Death Show, we’ll talk about:

How to separate FACT from Sensationalism in "The Mortician" Documentary

The questions EVERY family should ask when choosing a funeral home

What’s being done to prevent history from repeating itself

Why integrity-driven funeral directors still outnumber the bad actors
