  • The $5 Gift
    2025/03/23

We’ve finally found a bit of rhythm with sleep (hallelujah ), and she’s starting to sleep through the night more consistently.

The physical exhaustion is slowly fading… but now the emotional side is sneaking in—worry, love, connection, all of it.

It’s wild how three months can feel like both a lifetime and a blink. Thanks for following along on this beautiful, chaotic journey.

  • How to Hire a Nanny: (Mistakes & How We Fixed It)
    2025/03/16

    What we didn’t consider?

How they actually made us feel. That mistake cost us big time. Our nanny quit on the same day my wife returned from maternity leave. Lesson learned.

This time, we took a different approach—what we call the beer test. Would we want to sit down, have a drink, and actually enjoy a conversation with this person?

Turns out, hiring someone based on who they are rather than just their qualifications made all the difference.

If you’re looking for a nanny (or hiring in general), watch this before making the same mistake we did!

  • It Does Get Better!
    2025/03/03

This week, Emily and I did something big… we went on our first date since having Madeline. We hit up a brewery, tried to have an adult conversation (while checking the baby monitor every two seconds), and celebrated a little more.

The one thing that I recommend above all else is to date your wife! (OR partner)

Oh, and it was Madeline’s first Halloween! She was the cutest little Cookie Monster, I was a cookie, and Emily was milk (because obviously...).

If you’re a new dad or just here for the ride, I’d love for you to stick around. Let’s figure this out together and subscribe today!

  • Figuring It Out (Or Trying To)
    2025/02/23

I talk honestly about what it feels like to not have all the answers, the struggle of balancing survival mode with the pressure to be the “perfect” dad, and how every little win (like a sleepy smile or a peaceful moment) makes it all worth it. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, unsure, or just need to know you’re not alone, this episode is for you. This isn’t about having it all figured out—it’s about showing up, even when you don’t know what you’re doing. #dadlife #dadliferules #girldad

  • I'm a Dad!
    2025/02/16
I always knew fatherhood would be life-changing, but nothing could have truly prepared me for the moment I held my child for the first time. The love, the responsibility, the overwhelming sense of “this tiny human depends on me.” When I looked for resources, I found so much content focused on moms—their emotions, their physical changes, their experience. And rightfully so. But I noticed there wasn’t nearly as much for dads—what to expect, how to support your partner, and how to navigate the pressure of balancing work, family, and the weight of wanting to be the best dad possible. That’s why I’m starting “ Dear Dads,” a channel dedicated to helping dads—new and experienced—become more present, supportive, and confident in their role. Whether it’s dad hacks, real talk about fatherhood, or just a place to feel understood, I want this to be a space where we grow together. Working and supporting your family is stressful. Fatherhood is hard. But you’re not alone. If you’re a dad, about to be one, or just want to be a better partner and parent, follow along as I document the journey—the ups, the downs, and everything in between.Follow us on Instagram: https://instagram.com/deardadsco Join our community: https://www.facebook.com/groups/deardadsco/ Subscribe on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@deardadsco
