Seal, Bastille, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Level 42 are coming to the Taupō Amphitheatre on Sunday, January 31, 2027, and for the first time the Summer Concert is moving into the evening. Dean Calvert from Greenstone Entertainment joins Lake FM to talk about the new format. Doors open at 3pm and the show runs through to 10.30pm, which brings lighting and production we've never seen at a daytime show. He confirms the running order: a local Taupō band to open, then Level 42, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Bastille, and Seal to close. He also explains why the line-up spans four decades, why Seal is far from a one-hit wonder, and how locals and Greenstone Members can get $159 tickets when the special sale opens on Tuesday at the Taupō i-SITE.
