If I could give only one piece of advice on romantic relationships to my future children and close friends/family, what would it be? Charlie Munger's Inversion Mental Model speech instantly came to my mind.

Rather than focusing on what qualities I would want in my romantic partner, Why not also consider what qualities I would not want in my romantic partner and avoid that?

I would tell my future children and close family and friends to research and learn about serious psychological disorders, not let their ego tell them that they can fix the problem (if they have already been in a deep relationship), but let the professional psychiatrist do their job.
