Welcome back to Politely Messy! Dasha is the first guest on the show, and she does not hold back!

The voice behind “Austin” sits down with Jordy fresh off the release of her new single “‘82 Chevy,” a song rooted in one very specific truck-bed memory. Even with a hit under her belt, Dasha admits the imposter syndrome hasn’t gone anywhere, though she’s learned to laugh at the internet’s most creative attempts to tear her down. She also reveals how her signature on-stage shoey started, and her dating life gets its own spotlight: she’s done with musicians, but baseball players are another story.

Off stage, Dasha opens up about her friendship with Rob Rausch, picks the Nashville stars she’d bet on in a celebrity season of The Traitors, and introduces Sherman, the donkey who joined her life through her work with Cowboy Ranch Rescue. When the conversation turns to what’s next, she shares early plans for her next album, what it’s been like writing with Shane McAnally, and the gap she sees in country music right now, along with the weight of knowing someone is always watching. It all wraps with a round of “Dash In or Dash Out” and her side of a rumor about a downtown after-party.
