As a civilian engineer for the U.S. Army, Rey worked on multiple weapons systems, including the Patriot missile. Rey has received a number of prestigious awards, is a member of the Alabama Space Science Exhibit Commission, the Von Braun Center Board of Control, and the Industry Advisory Board of his alma mater the University of Puerto Rico School of Engineering.
