Dallas Stars stunned the hockey world by winning their first Stanley Cup Final berth since 2000, clinching it with a dramatic 3-2 overtime victory over Vegas in Game 5 of the Western Conference Final. The entire playoff run unfolded inside the NHL bubble in Edmonton during the shortened 2020 season, turning every game into a high-stakes chapter of resilience. As the third-seeded team, they battled through gritty wins — including a seven-game thriller against Colorado where Joel Kiviranta’s natural hat trick, capped by an OT winner, became legend. Anton Khudobin and Miro Heiskanen emerged as anchors, while veterans like Jamie Benn, Tyler Seguin, and Alexander Radulov delivered clutch offense and leadership. Denis Gurianov’s game-winner in the final series game sealed the deal, and though they fell to Tampa Bay in the Finals, that magical run remains one of the most unforgettable in franchise history — proof that grit, teamwork, and heart can carry you to the brink of glory.
