  • Colossians - The Invisible Becomes Visible (Daily Devotional)
    2025/07/26
Greetings and welcome to Living Supernaturally. Thank you so much for giving us an opportunity to come your way, spend a few moments in God’s word and in prayer. This week, we will be looking at the epistle of Colossians and gaining insights from it. Today, we will look at the invisible becoming visible. Colossians chapter 1, verses 15 through 17, ‘The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.’ If God is some one we trust to guard us, provide for us and keep us healthy and wise, the Colossian people had no shortage of gods. In their culture, there was a god for almost everything and anything. Look at television commercials, internet ads, highway billboards and magazine spreads and they will tempt you to depend on money, right outfit, gambling and much more. Sometimes, our only prayer is, may the God of heaven help us, but the good news is He has helped us. Paul taught clearly that Jesus, the Son of God is the visible image of the invisible God. He is the author of all creation, the Lord of Lords and King of Kings. He is before all things and in Him, all things hold together. The fullness of God is in Him. Jesus made peace between God and humanity through His blood, sacrificed on the cross for the world that God had so loved from the beginning of time. Paul begins this letter by addressing the church, giving thanks for the Colossian believers’ faith and love and informs them of the regular time of him praying for them. Paul thanks the Lord in this prayer for the Colossian believers because God has taken these people from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of His beloved Son, Jesus. Paul gives a magnificent explanation of various characteristics of Jesus Christ including that Christ is the image of the invisible God. This image concept appears multiple times throughout scripture. When God created humanity, He created them in His own image. The religious leaders of the day tried to trap Jesus in His words. They asked Jesus if we should pay taxes in tribute to Caeser. If Jesus said, yes, it would seem disloyal to God, if he had said no, then He would be in direct opposition to the governing nation. Jesus wisely responded by asking for a Roman coin/ currency of the day. As the religious leaders give Him one, He asked them, whose image do you see on it and whose inscription? The image on the coin was that of Caeser, a representation of Caeser himself. Jesus then concludes that the people of Israel should give the tax to Caeser and give to God what belongs to God, that was their own lives. As the coin was stamped with the image of the power, so is humanity stamped by the image of its owner, that is God. Jesus is not the only perfect image or representation of God but He is God as well. Jesus is both the perfect image bearer and God Himself. The Son being the image of the invisible God, makes visible the one who is by nature invisible. The Son’s power, wisdom and goodness fully and accurately revealed the characteristics and perfection of God. Let us pray, Father, we want to thank you for teaching us from your word that you are the image of the invisible God and you made yourself known to us, you died on the cross for us, we thank you for your sacrifice and thank you that you took us from this place of darkness and put us into your marvelous light. Help us to walk in that identity, in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen. Thank you for tuning in to Living Supernaturally, for more resources to strengthen your spiritual walk, please visit apcwo.org. • Promises For Good Success - Pleased With Our Success (Daily Devotional)
    2025/07/25
Greetings and thank you so much for joining us today and being with us throughout this week, where we took some time to look at scriptures that promise us good success that God Himself releases into our lives through His blessing. We close out this week by looking at Psalm chapter 35, verse 27, the psalmist says, ‘Let them shout for joy and be glad, who favor my righteous cause; And let them say continually, “Let the Lord be magnified, who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.”’ The psalmist is saying, let the Lord be magnified, let people say this continually, make this proclamation and declaration, let God be magnified because He has pleasure in the prosperity or in the good success of His servant. There is so much to understand here. God is pleased in seeing us be successful and prosper in what we do. Sometimes, we don’t think like that, we think, well, I’m not sure if God wants me to be successful or succeed, I’m not sure if God is for me or against, or God is the one who is making me fail, no! Don’t have those wrong thoughts, think in line with the word of God. It says, let God be magnified who has pleasure in the prosperity or success or wellbeing of His servant, that means God is pleased in seeing you do well, God is pleased in seeing you succeed, God is pleased in seeing you thrive, that is what the scriptures says. So, you and I need to think like that. And he says, let the Lord be magnified. So, ultimately, our success or us being successful in the work we have been given, us prospering in our assignments is going to magnify the Lord and bring glory to God and honor to His name. So, that is our motivation, God, you help us to do well, cause us to succeed, you give us good success and we want to magnify you through all of that. We want to see your name glorified. Let us pray, Father, we say according to your word, let the Lord be magnified, who has good pleasure in the prosperity of His servant, that you are well pleased in seeing us be successful. We pray that each one of us, in whatever our assignments are in this season of life, that we will thrive, be successful do well, prosper and will bring you glory and honor, in Jesus’ name, Amen. • Promises For Good Success - Succeed In Everything (Daily Devotional)
    2025/07/25
Greetings and thank you for joining us today in our daily devotional. It is always a joy to come to you and spend these few moments in the word of God and prayer. Today, we are going to look at Psalm chapter 1, verses 1, 2 and 3, it is a very familiar passage, it says, ‘Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law, he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.’ What a beautiful psalm! It is telling us that as we delight in God’s word, walk in reverence to God and avoid what is sinful and scornful but just pursue God and His word, what will our lives become? The psalmist draws a beautiful picture. It says, he will be like a tree planted by the rivers of water. The tree that is by the rivers of water has a continual supply, it will thrive, flourish and bear fruit and he says, that is the way such a person is going to be – he will bring forth fruit in its season, his leaf will not wither and whatever he does, will proser. That means whatever has been given to do - his work, he will be successful, prosper and bear plenty of fruit and thrive. So, that is the image we should have of ourselves as people of God who are pursuing and loving God. We should say, that is my life, I am like a tree planted by rivers of water, I will bring forth fruit in its season, my leaf will not wither, whatever I do will prosper. God, you will cause me to be fruitful and successful in the assignments/ tasks/ jobs/ work that I’m doing, I will be successful, that is His word and that is what I will have in life. Let’s believe it and pray according to it. Let us pray, Father, we thank you for your promise and word and we ask that each one of us will be like what your word says that we will be fruitful, evergreen in whatever we do, let it succeed, in Jesus’ name, Amen. • Promises For Good Success - God Will Prosper Us (Daily Devotional)
    2025/07/23
Greetings and thank you for joining us today. It is always a joy to come to you and spend these few moments in God’s word and prayer. This week, we are reflecting on God’s word that promise us good success in the work each one of us have been assigned to do. We look at Nehemiah today. Nehemiah chapter 2, verse 20, Nehemiah says, ‘So I answered them, and said to them, “The God of heaven Himself will prosper us; therefore, we His servants will arise and build, but you have no heritage or right or memorial in Jerusalem.”’ We know that Nehemiah because of the stirring in his heart and the passion he had for his home city of Jerusalem, was given this assignment to build the walls of the city of Jerusalem. As he goes back, it is not an easy task that he has because he immediately faces opposition from people who didn’t want him to succeed. They tried to put road blocks, hindrances on his path but look at the words of Nehemiah here. What does he say? He says, the God of heaven, He will prosper us and so we His servants will arise and build and you’ve got nothing to do with this. Look at the confidence that Nehemiah has in God. He says, God will cause us to be successful, God will prosper us so we are going to work, we are going to put our hands to this and go forward. It doesn’t matter what people say or their intentions are, or what they attempt to do to try to obstruct, hinder and cause problems, it is ok, we have got no part in this because what you do is immaterial when the God of heaven Himself is causing us to proposer and succeed. As we read the book of Nehemiah, that is exactly what happens. A lot of people try to come to stop and hinder the work but Nehemiah and the people, they just press on knowing that the God of heaven will prosper them and they get the work done. That is how we should be, that knowing and having the guarantee in our hearts that our God will cause us to be successful in whatever He has given for us to do and the responsibilities that we have in the work that we do, God will prosper us and so we put our hands to work, expecting good success. Let us pray, Father, we thank you that just as you prospered Nehemiah in his day, you will prosper us in our day and ensure that we have good success in the work we do, in Jesus’ name, Amen. • Promises For Good Success - God Made Him Prosper (Daily Devotional)
    2025/07/22
Greetings and thank you for joining us today. It is always our joy to come to you and spend these few moments in the word of God and prayer. This week, we are reflecting on God’s promises for good success and we are looking at how God worked in the lives of different people and if God did it for them, He will do it for you and me. Today, we will pick up on the lives of two kings of Judah, one was king Uzziah, he was very young, just 16 years of age when he was out on the throne and he reigned for 50 years. What an amazing testimony this is, what the bible says in 2 Chronicles chapter and verse 5, about king Uzziah it says, ‘He sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God; and as long as he sought the Lord, God made him prosper.’ We also read about king Hezekiah who came shortly after king Uzziah. In 2 Chronicles chapter 31, verses 20 and 21, it says, ‘Thus Hezekiah did throughout all Judah, and he did what was good and right and true before the Lord his God. And in every work that he began in the service of the house of God, in the law and in the commandment, to seek his God, he did it with all his heart. So, he prospered.’ Here were two kings, they had bad kings before them, after them but they, that is, king Uzziah and king Hezekiah, made a choice to seek God. They made the choice to do what was right in the eyes of God, to seek God in all matters. They were kings, meaning they had a responsibility to take care of a kingdom and people and so much of administration they had to take care of. But the testimony is this, that they sought God and as long as they sought God, He prospered them and made them successful. There is a lesson for us that as we seek God and do what is right in His sight, we can trust God that He will cause us to be successful, He will cause us to prosper, to do well in whatever we are called to do. So, have faith and believe God and say, I’m going to seek you, do what is right before you and I thank you that because of your blessing, I will prosper and be successful. If you did it for Uzziah and Hezekiah, you will do it in my life because you are the same God and I believe that. Let’s pray, Father, even as you blessed Uzziah and Hezekiah, in our day and time, as we seek you and seek to do what is right before you, you prosper us. You cause us to thrive and be successful in the assignments you’ve given to us - in our places of work or in our studies, in our responsibilities, in whatever work we do, cause us to flourish, thank you Father, in Jesus’ name, Amen. • Promises For Good Success - Prosperous With Good Success (Daily Devotional)
    2025/07/21
Greetings and thank you for joining us today on our daily devotional. It is always a joy to be able to come to you and spend these few moments in God’s word and in prayer. This week, we are looking at a few scriptures that promise us good success because of God’ blessing on our lives. I want to read today from Joshua chapter 1, verses 7 and 8, God told Joshua, ‘Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.’ We are familiar with Joshua’s assignment; he had to lead God’s people into the promised land and step into the shoes of Moses- that was a huge task. What did God tell him? God didn’t come to him and say, maybe you will succeed or fail, doesn’t matter what the outcome is, that is your lot in life, those were not the words of God. God didn’t speak like that. God told Joshua, as I was with Moses, I will be with you, you just keep my word, don’t deviate from it right or left, stay with it and you will prosper in your assignment. He said, keep my word in heart, mediate on it day and night, keep it in your mouth- speak it and you observe to do my word and God said, you will make your way prosperous and have good success. That means God is guaranteeing success to Joshua. God is not coming with some ‘if’s’, ‘maybe’s’ and ‘might be’s’. He is saying, this is how it will be, all you got to do is follow my word. You and I need to be so convinced about that, that it is God’s will for us to be successful and prosper because if that is what He told Joshua, that is what He will tell us today. He is going to give us the same promise and instruction. Follow my word, meditate in it, don’t turn from it right or left and you will make your way prosperous and have good success. Those will be the very words God will speak to us today and so we can rest assured that God is guaranteeing us success. But on this condition, you stay with my word, obey my word, meditate in my word and then you will experience your way becoming prosperous and having good success, that is His guarantee and promise to us. Let us believe it, expect it and obey it. Let us pray, Father, we thank you that as we follow your word and the instructions in your word, you have promised that we will make our way prosperous, have good success in whatever each one of us are called to do in life, in our assignments, in the things set before us, you will make us prosperous, thank you, in Jesus’ name, Amen. • Promises For Good Success - A Successful Man (Daily Devotional)
    2025/07/20
Greetings and thank you for joining us today on our daily devotional. This week, we are reflecting on scriptures that promise us good success that comes from God and because of the blessing of God. Today, we will look at Genesis chapter 39, verses 2, 3 and verse 23, the scriptures say, ‘The Lord was with Joseph, and he was a successful man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. And his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made all he did to prosper in his hand.’ Verse 23, ‘The keeper of the prison did not look into anything that was under Joseph’s authority, because the Lord was with him; and whatever he did, the Lord made it prosper.’ You and I are familiar with the story of Joseph and the wrong and injustice he suffered. His brothers sold him away because of jealousy, Potiphar’s wife falsely accused him and put him in prison. What is interesting is whether he was working as a slave in Potiphar’s house or in prison, scriptures say the Lord was with him and the Lord made whatever he did to prosper and Joseph was therefore such a successful man and people around him saw that. Potiphar saw that the Lord was with him and entrusted him with everything. The keeper of the prison saw the Lord was with him and entrusted everything to him. The God of Joseph is our God. If God could so bless Joseph in spite of all the wrong, injustice, unfairness, ill treatment and unfortunate things that was happening, God blessed him. God made him successful; God caused him to be held in high honor and esteem whichever place Joseph found himself to be in. That was God at work and the same God can do that for you and me. No matter what has happened in life’s circumstances and situations, God is with you and He will bless all that we do, He will cause us to be successful and prosper, He will put honor on our lives, that is our God. Let’s believe God for those things. Let’s pray, Father, we thank you that you are the God who was with Joseph and you are God with us today. You bless us, you make us successful, you cause us to increase and you bring honor on our life. What you did for Joseph, you do for us today, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
