In this Daily Devotion for October 10, 2026, Pastor David Balla walks through Psalm 85:4-6, an honest prayer that asks whether God's anger will last forever, and then asks for something deeper than relief, for joy itself to be restored, real rejoicing in God again.

This devotion names seasons when joy feels distant even though God remains near, and points to Jesus as the final answer to this ancient prayer. He came to bring life where there was only weariness, restoring joy where sin had drained it away. Through His death and resurrection, revival is no longer something to wonder about. There we find true grace, forgiveness, and salvation, secured completely through His finished work. Through His redemption we are welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven, and in the Lord's Supper that same revival is given to us again, His true body and blood for the forgiveness of sins.

Pray this honestly today, whatever season you are walking through. Ask God to revive you again. Trust that He hears that request. He has already answered it fully in Christ, once and for all.
