Sadly, the audio on this one got all sorts of messed up because of the connection between my microphones and computer... and of course it had to happen on one of the episodes that meant the most to me.
In this episode, I sit down with my dad and hear more about how he made his way to the U.S., how he met my mom, and what it was like becoming a stepdad to a 10-year-old kid… me.
There were a lot of stories I’d never heard, plenty of surprises for my mom, and maybe even a few things after 27 years together that she’s hearing for the first time.
I’m genuinely bummed the audio didn’t capture this conversation the way I wanted it to, because there were a lot of tears, a lot of laughs, and a whole lot of wisdom in this one.
But that’s life. Sometimes you just gotta wing it.
