 Dad’s Bedtime Stories is the family-friendly podcast that turns listener ideas into immersive bedtime adventures kids (and parents) can enjoy together.

I originally created these stories for my own children on nights when they couldn’t fall asleep. What started as a simple bedtime ritual has grown into a world of imagination designed to help families wind down together at the end of the day.

Play an episode for your kids and encourage them to imagine they are the hero of the story — exploring distant planets, training dragons, discovering magic, or traveling through space — all while lying safely in bed with their eyes closed.

Each 15–30 minute adventure is filled with science fiction and fantasy themes kids love: spaceships, dinosaurs, dragons, wizards, and whatever wild idea we dream up next. The stories are exciting, creative, and always safe for young listeners.

When the adventure ends, the episode gently transitions into calming music to reduce distractions and help your child...

    Charlie’s wish comes true when, one mysterious night, his broken arm is replaced with a high-tech robotic arm, with help from a secret spaceship and a powerful dragonling from another universe. But this isn’t just any robot arm. Charlie’s new arm comes with a freeze ray, goo cannon, energy shield, invisibility field, and even a flight mode. When a police scanner picks up a bank robbery downtown, Charlie realizes his new powers might be meant for more than just feeling better. Thank you to Charlie for the story suggestion.     In this funny (maybe...) two-story collection from Dad’s Bedtime Stories, a regular grandpa recovering from knee surgery becomes Grandpa Robo Knees — a super-powered, invention-building, flying-car-driving grandpa with help from Spaceship and Magnus the dragon. First, Oliver and Charlotte are sad when Grandpa can’t play like he used to. But after a secret nighttime visit from Spaceship, Grandpa wakes up with incredible robotic knees, a magical fix-it power, and the ability to turn ordinary bikes into flying hover bikes. Then, Grandpa Robo Knees returns for an even bigger adventure with The Geriatric Justice Squad. When his friends Ken and Gary need help, Grandpa and Spaceship upgrade them too, creating a team of elderly superheroes with an exoskeleton suit, a flying gadget chair, and a mission to stop a group of scammers. This silly, heartfelt sci-fi bedtime story is perfect for kids who love robots, superheroes, spaceships, dragons, flying cars, funny grandpas, and gentle adventures before sleep.
