What happens when you try to sail through life without Jesus in the boat?
In this powerful episode of the Miracles of Jesus Bible Study Series on the GRACELIFECOMI Podcast, Chimdi Ohahuna continues the study surrounding Jesus walking on water and draws out profound lessons about what it means to have Christ with us through the storms of life.
This episode explores the dangers of sailing without Jesus, including becoming vulnerable to the “waves” of life, constantly being overwhelmed by challenges, and moving from being a miracle worker to a miracle seeker. The teaching also challenges believers to recognize that Christ is not someone we should continually seek outside ourselves, Christ in us is the hope of glory and the source of the miraculous life.
But the teaching goes further.
Chimdi explores the meaning of “wait upon the Lord” from Isaiah 40:31, examining the Hebrew concept of qavah, to bind or twist together. Waiting on God is presented not merely as passively expecting an answer, but as a process through which God works in us, bringing our thoughts, words, character, and actions into practical alignment with our spiritual identity.
You will also discover why life’s challenges can become part of the process of spiritual maturity. Rather than focusing only on what God has allowed, this teaching encourages us to focus on what God is doing through the situation. The challenge may be temporary, but the purpose behind it can produce lasting transformation.
This episode will challenge you to ask:
Am I focused on the problem, or on God's purpose?
Am I waiting for Jesus, or trying to fast-track His process?
Is Christ truly in my boat?
Listen, learn, reflect, and allow the Word of God to reshape the way you understand your storms, your waiting season, your walk with Christ and the Miracles of Jesus, because the miracle is not only what Jesus does; it is also what He is forming in us.
