📌 Your Path to True Wellness Starts Here: https://f8wellness.com/
If you were diagnosed with hypothyroidism, there is one question your doctor may never have answered. Do you actually have Hashimoto's? Your TSH and free T4 can look perfect on paper while the real problem, an immune attack on your thyroid, keeps running quietly in the background for years. Most people never get the one test that would actually confirm it.
In this episode, I'm going to show you how to find out whether Hashimoto's was missed, which antibody tests actually matter, and what to ask your doctor at your next appointment.

❓ QUESTIONS ANSWERED
What is the difference between hypothyroidism and Hashimoto's?
Hypothyroidism describes low thyroid hormone output, while Hashimoto's is the autoimmune attack that often causes it. You can be treated for hypothyroidism for years without anyone ever confirming or ruling out Hashimoto's, and that gap can leave the underlying immune process unaddressed.
Which blood tests confirm Hashimoto's?
TPO antibodies and thyroid globulin antibodies are the two markers that show whether your immune system is attacking your thyroid, and they are separate from a standard TSH panel. Most routine thyroid checks never include them unless you specifically ask.
Can you have normal thyroid labs and still have Hashimoto's?
Yes. TSH and free T4 can look fine or fluctuate on medication while the underlying autoimmune process continues, which is why antibody testing has to be checked on its own rather than assumed from your TSH result.
