This weekend’s D.C. Bike Ride means major road closures—starting Friday night and lasting through Saturday—with impacts spilling into Virginia. Key downtown streets like Pennsylvania Ave, Constitution Ave, and Sixth St shut down Friday evening to Saturday afternoon. Saturday morning brings more closures on Constitution Ave and surrounding streets, then a wide-ranging impact from 6 a.m. to noon affecting Independence Ave, 23rd St, the Arlington Bridge, Ohio Drive, and highway ramps—disrupting traffic in and out of D.C. Officials urge drivers to plan ahead and expect delays as safety for thousands of cyclists takes priority.
