  • Curry Café: The Making of Richard’s Story – A Vietnam War Ballad

    In this episode of Curry Café, hosts Ray Gary and Rick McNamer talk with Vietnam veterans Bobby Joe Holman and Hank Cunningham, who share personal stories from their service. Holman recounts the inspiration behind his song “Richard’s Story,” born from a poem about a farmer’s son who died in Vietnam. They discuss the lasting impact of wartime losses, the challenges of returning home, the draft experience, and their reflections on how military service shaped their lives.
