Joe Hediger joined me for a conversation that started with shared belief systems and ended somewhere much more personal.

Joe is a wildlife biologist and researcher who thinks carefully about integrity — not as a concept, but as a lived practice. Where thoughts, words, and actions actually line up.

We wandered through the gap between what we say our culture is and what our behavior actually proves. Between the culture we consent to and the one we're handed without asking. Between values on a wall and values in action.

And then Joe dropped something at the end that stopped me cold:

"At what point did you decide that you don't matter? Because every time you tolerate something not true to who you are — you're abandoning yourself."

No experts. No answers. Just two people willing to close the gap by one degree.
