The Chicago Cubs face a pivotal offseason after their 89-73 season and Wild Card sweep loss to the Padres. President Jed Hoyer identifies pitching acquisition as the top priority following injuries to Justin Steele, Lucas Giolito, and Shelby Miller.

Hosts Stephanie and Sean analyze the roster, discussing the third-base platoon between Alex Bregman and Gabriel Arias, the bullpen void with Phil Maton and Riley Martin on the IL, and predictions for a mid-tier ace and veteran closer. They also touch on the impact of the robot umpire system and Gavin Sheets' performance.

Key topics include the 2nd place NL Central standing, internal bullpen competitions involving Julian Aguiar and Ryan Rolison, and the strategic moves needed to stabilize the rotation for the 2027 season.

In this episode: Hoyer's Pitching Priority & Injuries · Infield Battles & Platoon Dynamics · Hypotheticals & Lightning Round.
