Creighton Bluejays head into 2026-27 with historic recruit Micah Gordon, the No. 30 player in the SC Next 100. We analyze his Day One starting potential and how his playmaking offsets rim protection vulnerabilities. Dana Altman’s retirement from Oregon reshapes the Big East landscape, potentially aiding Creighton’s push for a four or five seed.

We discuss roster depth, including the backup point guard battle and forward spacing around Gordon. Key topics include Creighton’s projected 23-win season, defensive schemes to mitigate interior weakness, and how transfer activity impacts the frontcourt. Fans ask about Gordon’s impact on scoring distribution and whether Creighton can challenge UConn.

Hosts Renee and Joel provide tactical analysis on pick-and-roll usage, switching defenses, and shot selection. We cover prior predictions of 22-24 wins and evaluate if Gordon elevates Creighton from fifth place to top-tier contention. This episode breaks down the strategic implications of the new roster construction for the upcoming campaign.
