  • Adult Creator Scams: How to Spot Them Before They Fool You
    2026/10/31

If you're an adult content creator, getting scammed isn't just about losing money. Scammers can come after your content, your time, your accounts, your privacy, and even your safety. And unfortunately, I've learned some of these lessons the hard way.In this podcast episode of Creators Spicy Tea, we're breaking down some of the most common scams adult creators can run into, how these scams actually play out, the red flags I've learned to watch for, and what you can do to make yourself a much harder target. We're talking about buyers who promise to pay after receiving content, fake payments and screenshots, wishlist scams, sugar scams, photo collectors disguised as buyers, custom content time wasters, you name it.I'm also sharing some of my own experiences getting scammed and the policies I've changed because of those experiences, including why payment comes before content or sessions, how I handle buyers requesting additional photos or verification, and how I keep custom planning conversations from turning into hours of unpaid labor. Finally, we're talking about what to do if you've already been scammed: documenting everything, saving screenshots, blocking and blacklisting accounts, warning other creators, reporting scams within trusted creator communities, and changing your policies so the same scam is harder to pull twice.Scammers change their tactics constantly. Learning the warning signs before you're staring at a suspicious payment, message, link, or buyer can save you a whole lot of money, time, content, and stress.📖 OTHER RESOURCES- Creators Spicy Tea Patreon: https://patreon.com/CreatorsSpicyTea- r/Creators_Spicy_Tea: https://www.reddit.com/r/Creators_spicy_tea- Creators Resource Chats Discord Server: - https://discord.gg/e2RSdSTzUd

  • Creator Etiquette: The Unwritten Rules Every Content Creator Should Know
    2026/09/26

There are unwritten rules in the creator industry, and unfortunately, most people don't learn them until they've already pissed somebody off.

In this episode of Creators Spicy Tea, we're getting into creator etiquette, the dos and don'ts of interacting with other content creators, asking for help, joining creator communities, requesting collaborations, networking, promoting yourself, sharing information, and generally existing in an industry where community and competition happen at the exact same time.

We're talking about how to actually ask another creator for advice without treating them like an unpaid mentor, why some creators charge for their knowledge, why you should research every piece of advice you're given, and why building a trusted creator community can make this industry so much easier to navigate.

We also get into respecting the rules of other creator spaces, proper livestream etiquette, approaching creator collaborations professionally, protecting your private information, and how to give honest advice without being rude about it.

And then we're getting into the behavior that will make other creators remember you for all the wrong reasons: asking for someone's clients, hijacking another creator's posts to promote yourself, trying to manipulate engagement, cold messaging creators like they're potential buyers, sabotaging competitors, and ignoring community boundaries.

Creator etiquette doesn't mean every creator has to be friends. It means understanding that we share platforms, audiences, communities, and a whole lot of the same industry problems. Competition and community can exist at the exact same time.

  • The Hard Truths Nobody Tells You About Being an Online Creator
    2026/08/29

What does it actually take to build a sustainable creator business, protect your boundaries, deal with burnout, keep clients, and somehow still have a life?

In this roundtable episode of Creators Spicy Tea, we’re getting into the creator-industry hard truths people usually learn the difficult way. We’re talking about everything from taking time off without your income completely disappearing, building passive and evergreen income, client relationships and professional boundaries, creator burnout, comparison, money pressure, online safety, scams, Reddit communities, and knowing when it’s finally time to pivot your business.

We also get into some of the messier human parts of working online. What happens when a longtime client disappears? How do you separate genuine connection from a professional relationship? How much does personality actually matter when you’re building an audience? What happens when your follower count looks great but your actual business doesn’t? And yes, luck absolutely plays a role in success, even when nobody wants to admit it.

There’s also a bigger conversation here about protecting yourself. We talk about scam prevention, impersonation accounts, verifying who you’re actually talking to, navigating Reddit moderators and communities, maintaining boundaries with clients, protecting your personal time, and why creators need to stop treating every slow day or missed financial goal like a personal failure.

Basically, this is the conversation we wish more people had before trying to build a full-time business online. Some takes we agree on. Some we absolutely do not.

Tell us which hard truth hit you the hardest and which one you completely disagree with.
