• 4198 Guard Your Heart, Guard Your Path
    2026/09/27
There is a quiet war happening in every life, and most of us barely notice it. It doesn't announce itself with sirens or alarms. It creeps in through the glow of a screen, the scroll of a feed, the weight of words we never asked to carry. And before we know it, we've wandered. Not dramatically. Not all at once. But step by slow step, we've drifted from the path God laid out for us — because somewhere along the way, we stopped guarding what matters most. If wisdom has taught us anything, it's this: guard your heart, guard your path. Solomon understood this. In Proverbs 4:23, he writes, "Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it." Above all else. Not "when it's convenient." Not "if you remember." Above. All. Else. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com #SweetSpirit #CreateYourNow #SoulfulSunday That language is urgent because the stakes are urgent. Everything we do — every decision, every reaction, every relationship, every step forward or backward — flows from the heart. It is the wellspring. It is the source. And if the source is polluted, the path will show it. Think about that for a moment. What flows from your heart right now? Is it peace or anxiety? Is it faith or fear? Is it clarity or confusion? The answer will likely tell you what you've been allowing in. Because the heart doesn't guard itself. It absorbs. It takes in whatever we give it — the voices, the images, the opinions, the noise — and it shapes our steps accordingly. We live in an age of unfiltered access. Technology has handed us the entire world in the palm of our hands, and with it has come an avalanche of distraction. News cycles designed to stir outrage. Social media platforms built to hook our attention and hold it hostage. Conversations that pull us into comparison, into self-doubt, into places God never intended for us to dwell. None of it is accidental. Every notification, every algorithm, every autoplay video is designed to capture your focus — and focus is a resource of the heart. Solomon goes on in Proverbs 4:25–27 to say, "Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you. Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways. Do not turn to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil." There's an intentionality in those words that we can't afford to miss. He's not describing a passive walk. He's describing a deliberate one. Eyes forward. Feet steady. No wandering. That kind of focus doesn't happen by accident. It happens by choice — daily, sometimes hourly, sometimes minute by minute. Guarding your heart means becoming a gatekeeper of your own life. It means asking, "Does this belong here?" before you let something in. That podcast you listen to on your morning commute — is it building your faith or eroding it? That group text, that conversation at the office, that late-night scroll through social media — is it drawing you closer to who God created you to be, or pulling you further from it? These aren't dramatic questions. They're practical ones. And wisdom lives in the practical. The Psalmist knew this, too. In Psalm 119:105, we read, "Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path." Notice the imagery. A lamp for my feet — not a floodlight for the entire highway. God's Word gives us just enough light for the next step. And that next step requires a heart that's clear enough to see it. When we flood our hearts with noise and distraction, we dim that lamp. We make it harder to hear the voice that actually matters. We trade the light of truth for the glow of a screen, and then we wonder why the path feels uncertain. The K.I.S.S. ~ Guard your heart, guard your path! But here's the beautiful part of all of this — guarding your heart isn't about building walls. It's about building wisdom. It's not about living in fear of the world. It's about living with such intention that the world doesn't get to dictate your direction. "When your heart is rooted in God's Word, when it's fed by truth and watered by prayer, it becomes steady ground. And from steady ground, you walk a steady path." ~ Kristianne Wargo At some point, our wisdom must meet our walk. It's not enough to know what's right. It's not enough to underline verses and nod along on Sunday morning. Wisdom asks us to live it. To put the phone down when it's stealing our peace. To step away from conversations that plant seeds of doubt. To turn off the noise long enough to hear God whisper, "This is the way — walk in it." That's where the guarding happens. Not in some grand, once-and-for-all decision, but in the small, daily choices that add up to a life of purpose. So today, take inventory. What have you been letting in? What voices are shaping the way you see yourself, your family, your future? And are those voices aligned with the One who created you for ...

  • 4216 Hold On To What You Cannot See
    2026/10/15
Some seasons ask you to keep going when nothing around you looks any different. The bills are still there. The relationship still aches. The answer you've been praying for hasn't shown up at your door with a bow on it; no overnight delivery. And somewhere in the quiet of another ordinary morning, you wonder if anything is actually happening at all. My friend — you can hold on to what you cannot see. Because the most important work rarely announces itself. It moves underground, in the places your eyes will never reach, building something your circumstances haven't caught up to yet. Think about roots for a moment. They don't have eyes. They don't see sunlight. They don't know what the bloom will look like or when it's coming. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com #Inspiration #CreateYourNow #DailyMotivation But they grow anyway. They reach. They stretch into soil that is dark and dense and offers no applause for the effort. And every single thing that will ever stand tall in a garden stands tall because of what happened down there first — unseen, unclapped for, unnoticed by everyone except the One who designed the seed. That's where you are right now. And it's not a punishment. It's a process. Hebrews 11:1 says, "Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see." Faith is not wishful thinking. It's not crossing your fingers and hoping something sticks. Faith is confidence.Faith is assurance.Faith is standing with your feet planted on ground that the world says is shaky and knowing in your spirit that God already poured the foundation. You just can't see it yet — and you were never meant to. If you could see it all, you wouldn't need faith. And if you didn't need faith, you would never discover how deeply you are held. That's the part the enemy doesn't want you to know. He wants you measuring progress with your eyes. He wants you scanning your life like a scoreboard — checking the numbers, tallying the wins and losses, and deciding that if the visible results aren't there, then God must not be working. But God has never operated on your timeline, and He has certainly never operated on your scoreboard. He operates on covenant. And covenant doesn't expire because you had a hard week. So what do you do when you can't see it? You hold on anyway. You pray when the prayer feels like it's hitting the ceiling. You worship when your heart feels flat. You get up and take the next step even though the path ahead looks exactly like the path behind. Because faith isn't a feeling. It's a decision. And every time you decide to trust God when nothing visible backs it up, your roots go deeper. You are becoming more anchored than you realize. The K.I.S.S. ~ Hold on to what you cannot see! Ben Stein once said, "Faith is not believing that God can. It is knowing that God will." There's a canyon of difference between those two things. Believing God can is theology. Knowing God will is relationship. It's the difference between reading about someone's faithfulness and having lived through enough dark nights to say, "He showed up before, and He will show up again." That kind of knowing doesn't come from a comfortable life. It comes from exactly the kind of season you might be standing in right now — the one where you can't see what's next but you refuse to let go. And maybe that's the invitation. Not to figure it all out. Not to force the breakthrough. But to simply hold on. To let your roots do what roots were made to do — reach for water in the dark, grip the soil a little tighter, and trust that the surface will catch up to what's already been established underneath. You are not stuck. You are stabilizing. There is a difference, and heaven knows it even when your mirror doesn't. The woman who holds on when she cannot see is not naive. She is brave. She is not ignoring reality — she is choosing a higher one. She is saying, "My God is bigger than my circumstance, and I will not let go of His hand just because I can't see His plan." That is not weakness. That is the deepest kind of strength there is. And it is building something in you that nothing — no delay, no disappointment, no detour — can take away. So hold on, my sweet friend. Not because the answers are coming tomorrow — maybe they are, maybe they aren't. Hold on because the God who planted you has never once forgotten where He put you. He is watering what He started. He is tending what He promised. And one day — maybe sooner than you think — what has been growing in the dark is going to break through the surface and take your breath away. Until then, keep reaching. Keep trusting. Keep becoming. You were never meant to see it all. You were meant to hold on to the One who does. "Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!" 🔔 Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? • 4207 Refuse the Verdict
    2026/10/06
You woke up this morning, and before your feet even hit the floor, there was already noise. Not the alarm. Not the kids. Something deeper, quieter, meaner — a thought that slid in before you had the chance to decide what kind of day this was going to be. And if you're not careful, that thought will try to run the whole show. But you don't have to let it. Today is your invitation to refuse the verdict, because you were named before the noise ever began. WOW!! Sit with that for a minute. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com #Inspiration #CreateYourNow #DailyMotivation Every single one of us has a thought life. And if we're being real, some of what lives in that thought life is not pretty. There are thoughts that accuse. Thoughts that shame. Thoughts that drag up the worst version of yesterday and try to convince you that's who you are today. You're not doing enough. You're falling behind. Everyone else has it figured out and you're just faking it. Sound too familiar? THINK NOW: A thought that passes through your mind is not a truth that was spoken over your life. Those two things could not be more different. One is noise. The other is a name. And you need to know the difference, because the enemy will work overtime to blur the line between them. He wants you to hear an accusation and call it an identity. He wants you to feel shame and call it a fact. He wants you to mistake his whisper for God's verdict. But he doesn't get that power. He never did. Imagine you're standing in a courtroom and someone is reading off a list of charges against you. Every mistake, every failure, every moment you wish you could take back — it's all right there, spoken out loud. And just when the weight of it feels like it might crush you, the Judge stands up and says, Case dismissed. No condemnation. Not now. Not ever. Romans 8:1 — "Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." It's not about less condemnation on your good days or even a lighter sentence when you've been trying really hard. It's NO condemnation. Case closed. The gavel came down. And it came down in your favor — not because of anything you did, but because of everything He already did. The K.I.S.S. ~ Refuse the verdict! So what does that mean for you today? Right now? Well, that thought that tried to define you this morning doesn't get the last word. The shame that keeps circling back around doesn't get to sit at your table. You get to choose how you show up in your own life — and you get to show up as who God says you are, not as who the enemy tries to convince you that you've become. You are chosen. You are loved. You are called. Before the foundation of the world, God knew your name — and it was not failure. It wasn't not enough. It wasn't too far gone. It was beloved. It was daughter. It was mine. That's the name that was spoken over you before the noise ever started. And that name doesn't change based on what crossed your mind at two o'clock in the morning. So the next time a dark thought shows up and tries to hand you a verdict you were never meant to carry, stand in the truth of who you are. Open your mouth and say it out loud if you have to: I am not what passed through my mind. I am what my Father declared over my life. And His word doesn't return void. Because you get to choose. Every morning, every evening, every moment, every breath — you get to choose whose voice you agree with. The noise will always be there. The accusations will knock on the door. But you are not obligated to answer. You are not required to let them in. And you are certainly not defined by them. You were named before any of it. And the One who named you is not taking it back. Rise with truth today. Refuse the verdict that was never yours. And walk forward knowing truly that the only voice with the authority to define you already spoke. And what He said was enough. That's how you create your now. "Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!" 🔔 Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? • 4215 Don't Pick the Bud
    2026/10/14
You see it happening. Something in you is shifting — the way you pray, the way you respond, the way you hold your peace when you used to lose it. There's new growth forming in your spirit, and it's real. But before you rush to show the world, before you post it, proclaim it, or perform it for an audience, don't pick the bud. "The bloom's beauty comes from its budded heart that has had time to become. You can't rush what is not ready." ~ Kristianne Wargo Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com #WellspringWednesday #CreateYourNow #HealthAndWellness And that's where so many of us stumble. Not in the growing — we're doing that. The stumbling happens when we try to speed up what God is still shaping. We see the first green of something beautiful and we want to yank it into full flower overnight. We want the testimony before the test is over. We want the fruit before the season is finished. But that's not how any of it works — not in a garden, and not in your soul. Ecclesiastes 3:11 reminds us, "He has made everything beautiful in its time." Not in your time. Not when you feel ready. Not when someone else's bloom makes you feel behind. In His time. And His time has never once been late. Think about it like this. A rosebud doesn't open because someone pulls its petals apart. It opens because the sun, the soil, and the season all come together at the right moment. You are that bud. God is the gardener. And the process you're in? It's not a delay — it's development. The temptation is real, though, isn't it? You start doing the inner work, and something in you wants credit for it. You want people to see the change. You want validation that all this quiet wrestling has been worth it. But when you perform growth that hasn't fully settled, you end up exhausted — holding up a version of yourself that isn't finished yet and wondering why it feels so heavy. Some things need to stay between you and God a little longer. Not because they're secret, but because they're sacred. "The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still" (Exodus 14:14). Stillness isn't passive. It's protective. It gives your roots time to go deeper so that when the bloom does open, it holds. There's a difference between growing and performing growth. Growing is quiet. It happens in the mornings when nobody's watching, in the prayers you whisper in the car, in the choice to forgive before you feel like it. Performing growth is louder — it's the social media post about your healing journey before you've actually healed, the declaration of change before the change has cost you anything. You don't owe anyone a progress report on your becoming. Galatians 6:9 says, "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." The proper time. Not the premature time. Not the "I'm tired of waiting" time. The proper time. And that harvest? It's worth the wait. The K.I.S.S. ~ Let it unfold! So what does it look like to let your becoming stay unhurried this week? 1. Resist the Urge to announce, perform, or prove your growth — hold it quietly this week and let it deepen. The next time you feel the pull to share your progress with the world, pause and ask yourself: Am I sharing because this is ready, or because I need someone to tell me it's real? Your growth doesn't need an audience to be valid. God sees every inch of it. That's enough for now. Journal it instead. Pray over it. Let the roots go one layer deeper before you invite the wind. 2. Practice Patience with your own process by choosing one area where you stop pushing and simply allow. Maybe it's your prayer life — you've been forcing discipline when what you really need is surrender. Maybe it's a relationship you keep trying to fix on your own timetable. Pick one thing this week where you consciously take your hands off the wheel and say, "God, I trust Your pace more than my plan." Patience isn't giving up. Patience is giving over. As the psalmist wrote, "Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him" (Psalm 37:7). Practice that stillness. Let it teach you something. 3. Trust God's Timing for your reveal is better than yours — and rest in the waiting. Rest doesn't mean nothing is happening. Rest means you believe so deeply in the Gardener that you can stop trying to do His job. Think of it this way: a seed doesn't strain to become a tree. It simply stays planted and lets the process do its work. You are planted, not stalled. Hidden, not forgotten. "A bloom forced open by human hands will wilt by morning. A bloom opened by the Son will stand through every season." ~ Kristianne Wargo Rest in that. Your reveal is coming — and it will be breathtaking because it will be ready. Impatience kills more growth than failure ever will. Failure just means you tried. Impatience means you didn't give what you tried time to ...

  • 4200 Speak Truth to Yourself
    2026/09/29
There's a version of you that shows up every morning with a smile already rehearsed. She knows the right words — I'm fine, I'm blessed, I'm good — and she delivers them so well that most people never think to ask a follow-up question. She's pleasant. She's put together. And she is exhausted from the performance. But today, let's get a little I uncomfortable; speak truth to yourself. It's not truth aimed at someone else or spoken from a stage or typed out in a text. It is the kind of truth that happens when you close the door, sit with God, and finally stop narrating the version of your life you wish were real. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com #Inspiration #CreateYourNow #DailyMotivation Honesty is not weakness. It's not failure. It's not proof that your faith isn't working. Honesty is the very foundation every real, lasting change is built on. You cannot transform what you refuse to name. You cannot heal what you keep hiding — not from others, but from yourself. Think about what plays on repeat in your mind when no one else is listening. The worry you've dressed up as planning. The resentment you've renamed "boundaries." The sadness you've buried under busyness so deep you barely recognize it anymore. Those thoughts aren't your enemy. They're your starting point. And God already knows every single one of them. The psalmist David understood this. In one of his rawest, most unguarded moments, he wrote, "Yet you desired faithfulness even in the womb; you taught me wisdom in that secret place" (Psalm 51:6). God desires truth in the inward parts. Not the public parts. Not the Sunday morning parts. It's the secret place; the place where your real thoughts live. The place you've been afraid to let anyone — including Him — fully into. The K.I.S.S. ~ Speak truth to yourself! God isn't standing at the door of that secret place with a clipboard and a disappointed look. He's standing there with an invitation. He already knows what's inside. He's not shocked by your doubt, your frustration, your grief, your anger, or the prayer you can't bring yourself to pray out loud. He knew it before you thought it. And He's not asking you to clean it up before you bring it to Him. He's asking you to bring it — messy, unedited, and real — because that's where intimacy begins. We spend so much energy performing "fine" that we forget what it feels like to simply be. To sit in the truth of where we actually are without rushing to fix it, spiritualize it, or slap a scripture on it like a Band-Aid. Scripture was never meant to be a Band-Aid. It was meant to be a mirror, a lamp, a sword — something that goes deep enough to do real work. But it can only reach the places we're willing to expose. Thomas Jefferson once said, "Honesty is the first chapter in the book of wisdom." The first chapter. Not the last. Not the climax. The beginning. That means you don't have to have it all figured out. You just have to be willing to start with what's true. And from that one honest breath — Lord, here's where I really am — wisdom begins to build. So today, I'm not asking you to confess anything to anyone. I'm not asking you to post it, share it, or turn it into a testimony. I'm asking you to be still long enough to hear your own voice — the real one — and then let God meet you there. Tell Him the thing you've been editing. Pray the prayer you've been too afraid to say. Write the sentence in your journal that starts with "The truth is…" and then let your pen keep moving. You are not too much for Him. Your honesty will not break His love. In fact, it's the very thing that opens the door for His love to reach the rooms you've been locking everyone out of — including yourself. Real change doesn't start with a new strategy. It doesn't start with a new habit tracker or a five-step plan. It starts the moment you stop pretending and start breathing. It starts with truth. And truth, sweet friend, is not the end of the story — it's the bravest, most beautiful beginning you'll ever choose. "Be present. Be incredible. • 4199 Running On Noise
    2026/09/28
You haven't even gotten out of bed yet, and already, the world is talking to you. Notifications are lighting up the nightstand. Headlines are waiting behind the lock screen. Opinions, arguments, comparisons are all lined up before your feet hit the floor. You're running on noise, and you don't even realize it. Yesterday, in Guard Your Heart, Guard Your Path, we talked about why guarding your heart matters — because everything you do flows from it. Today, I want us to go a step deeper. If your heart is the wellspring, then your mind is the gate. And every single day, that gate is being flooded. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com #MindsetMonday #CreateYourNow #PersonalDevelopment Here's the thing we don't often stop to think about: the noise of the world doesn't just pass through you. It moves in. It takes up space. It starts shaping your thoughts, your emotions, your responses — and it does it so quietly that you don't even notice until you're reacting to life out of anxiety instead of peace, out of comparison instead of calling. Proverbs 4:23 tells us, "Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it." But guarding your heart requires guarding what gets in. And in a culture that never stops broadcasting, that takes real intentionality. Think about your morning. Before you pray, before you open your Bible, before you sit with God for even one quiet minute — how many voices have already spoken? The news anchor. The social media algorithm. The group chat. The email from your boss. And here's what we don't always see: those first few minutes of scrolling aren't neutral. They're formational. When the first thing you do each morning is absorb the world's headlines, the world's outrage, the world's measuring stick — you are being quietly discipled by a voice that was never meant to lead you. This is just what happens when the first voice you hear every day isn't His. And it's not that any one of those things is bad. It's that the accumulation of it — the sheer volume and relentlessness of it — starts to drown out the still, small voice you were designed to live by. You're not choosing to let the noise rule your mind. You just never chose not to. That's what makes this so sneaky. We don't sit down and consciously decide, "I'm going to let the world set the tone for my thinking today." It just happens. It happens in the scroll before coffee. It happens in the podcast on the commute. It happens in the background noise we've stopped noticing because it's always there. And slowly, without permission, the noise begins to form us. But here's where it turns: you get to choose what forms you. You are not powerless. You are not stuck. You have the authority — and the invitation — to set a different rhythm. To decide that the first voice you hear will be the One who calls you beloved. To build a gate around your mind that doesn't slam shut on the world but opens first to God. The K.I.S.S. ~ Guard the gate! Put some conscious thought into it. Know what you are thinking and what you want to think about. Workbook to Guard the Gate: Download Here. So here's the question: What would change in your thinking if the first thing you gave your attention to every morning wasn't the noise — but the truth? 1. START your day in silence with God first. Before you pick up your phone tomorrow morning, spend five minutes in quiet. Let God's voice be the first one you hear. Not the headlines. Not the notifications. Not the group chat. Just Him. 2. IDENTIFY one source of noise this week. Maybe it's a social media feed, a show, a habit that consistently leaves you feeling less peaceful. You know the one. Set a boundary around it, even if it's temporary. You're not canceling it forever. You're just making room. 3. REPLACE that noise with one intentional input: Maybe a worship playlist, a scripture audio plan, or five minutes of quiet prayer during a time you'd normally scroll. Don't just remove the noise — fill the space with something that feeds your soul. Guarding the gate isn't about shutting the world out entirely. It's about choosing what gets the first word — and the last word — in your day. When you let God speak first, everything else falls into its proper place. The noise doesn't disappear, but it stops running the show and your day. You were never meant to be formed by the scroll. You were meant to be formed by the Spirit. So this week, take back the gate. One morning at a time. "Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!" 🔔 Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? • 4201 Growing Pains That Still Grow
    2026/09/30
Why does growing have to hurt? I mean, we talk about growth like it's this beautiful, sun-drenched thing — butterflies emerging, flowers blooming, all of it wrapped in soft lighting and your favorite song playing in the background. And sure, sometimes it is that. But other times? Other times it feels like you've been turned inside out. Like the life you built — the one that fit so perfectly last year — is suddenly two sizes too small, and you can't breathe in it anymore. That's the part no one puts on the vision board: growing pains that still grow. You know the feeling. Something in your life starts to shift — maybe it's your perspective, maybe it's your priorities, maybe it's your prayer life — and suddenly the relationships that once felt like home start to feel a little… off. Not because those people did anything wrong. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com #WellspringWednesday #CreateYourNow #HealthAndWellness But because you're not the same person who walked into those rooms. And that's a strange kind of grief, isn't it? Grieving something that isn't gone — it just doesn't fit the way it used to. Or maybe for you it's not a relationship. Maybe it's a role. The title you carried proudly for years — the one that used to define you — and now it feels like a borrowed coat. Too heavy. Too stiff. You keep wearing it because you don't know who you are without it, but every morning it gets a little harder to button up and pretend it's still yours. Here's what I want you to know: that ache? It's not a warning sign. It's not God telling you something went wrong. It's the exact opposite. It's the stretch marks of the soul, and they only show up when something inside you is expanding faster than the space you've been living in. Think about it this way. When a child has growing pains — those middle-of-the-night, throbbing-leg, "Mama, it hurts" moments — no parent panics and says, "Quick, make her stop growing!" You rub their legs. You tell them it's going to be okay. You remind them that what hurts right now is actually proof that their body is doing exactly what it was made to do. So why don't we extend ourselves the same grace? I think it's because we've been quietly taught that discomfort means disobedience. That if we were really walking in God's will, the path would be smoother. But Scripture tells a very different story. Romans 8:28 says, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." All things. Not just the beautiful things. Not just the comfortable things. The aching, awkward, "I don't even recognize myself anymore" things — He's working in those too. And sometimes, honestly? The discomfort is the work. I remember a season — and maybe you've had one like it — where I had to let go of something I loved. Not because it was bad. It was good. It was familiar. But it had become a hiding place, and God doesn't grow us in hiding places. He grows us in open fields where the wind can reach us. Where we're exposed, yes — but also where we can finally spread out. That letting go didn't feel like freedom at first. It felt like loss. But on the other side of it? That's where the bloom was waiting. C.S. Lewis once wrote, "It may be hard for an egg to turn into a bird: it would be a jolly sight harder for it to learn to fly while remaining an egg." I love that. Because it captures the absurdity of what we sometimes try to do — we want the wings without the cracking. We want the new life without the death of the old shape. But that's not how becoming works. Becoming is a series of holy interruptions. It's God saying, I love you too much to let you stay comfortable when I created you for something bigger. And if that makes your chest tight and your eyes sting a little — good. That means you're paying attention. Grow through the ache. The K.I.S.S. ~ Grow through the ache! So what do we do with the ache? How do we keep walking when every step stretches us past what feels safe? 1. NAME ONE AREA where growth is causing discomfort, and resist the urge to shrink back to a more comfortable size. This takes more courage than it sounds like. Because shrinking is so subtle. It doesn't announce itself. It shows up as "maybe I was being too ambitious," or "I should just be grateful for what I have," or "who am I to think I could do that?" And gratitude is beautiful, and humility is necessary. But there's a difference between being humble and being hidden. Isaiah 54:2 says, "Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes." God isn't asking you to be comfortable. He's asking you to make room. Maybe right now that means staying in the hard conversation instead of backing away from it.Maybe it means keeping your hand raised for that ...

  • 4202 Breathe Where You Are
    2026/10/01
There's something inside most of us that kicks in the moment life starts pressing down. When the weight shows up — the uncertainty, the waiting, the silence that feels too long — our first instinct is to push. To claw. To hustle our way back into motion because at least movement feels like progress. But what if the bravest thing you could do right now is simply breathe where you are? What if this season isn't asking you to perform your way out — but to be present right where you've been planted? Now, that may sound counterintuitive. We live in a world that celebrates output. The grind. The glow-up. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Not because He's forgotten you. Not because the dream is dead. But because He's doing something in the stillness that striving could never accomplish. Think about a seed for a moment. When it's buried beneath the soil, it doesn't thrash. It doesn't fight its way to the surface on the first day. It breathes. It absorbs. It lets the darkness do what the darkness was designed to do — break open the shell so something new can begin to grow. The seed doesn't perform for the soil. It simply surrenders to the process. And that's what this season is asking of you. Maybe you're in a place right now where nothing seems to be moving. The prayers feel like they're hitting the ceiling. The breakthrough you were so sure was coming hasn't shown up yet. And every day you wonder if you should be doing more, trying harder, pushing further. But here's what I want you to hear today: stillness in the soil isn't defeat. It's obedience. Psalm 46:10 says, "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." Notice it doesn't say be still after you've figured it out. It doesn't say be still once everything makes sense. It says be still — period. And then know. Know that He is God. Know that He hasn't lost control of your story just because you can't see the next chapter. The K.I.S.S. ~ Breathe where you are! Being still doesn't mean being passive. It means being present. It means letting your mind and your heart come into agreement instead of letting anxiety drive you into action that God never asked you to take. Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is stop producing. Sometimes the deepest growth happens when your hands are open, not clenched. As Priscilla Shirer so beautifully put it, "Sometimes the most spiritual thing you can do is stop striving and let God hold you." Let that sink in for a second. Allow yourself to be connected back in the arms of a God who has never once been in a hurry about your becoming. So breathe. Create your now. Not because there's nothing left to do — but because this pause is part of the plan. The stillness isn't stealing your momentum. It's anchoring it. It's connecting your mind and your heart so that when the time comes to move, you move from wholeness, not from panic. You move because you're led, not because you're afraid of falling behind. You don't have to perform for God. You don't have to prove to Him that you're worthy of the next season. You just have to be — fully, honestly, imperfectly present — and trust that He is doing the rest beneath the surface where your eyes can't reach. This is your permission slip today. Stop clawing.Stop striving.Stop measuring your worth by how fast you're moving. Breathe where you are and let the God who planted you tend to what's growing. The bloom is coming. But right now, the roots need room to stretch. And roots only grow deep when you stop pulling yourself up to check on them. You're not stuck. You're not forgotten. You're being held. And that, sweet friend, is exactly where you need to be. "Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!" 🔔 Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women?
