概要

Create Love, Create Freedom is a podcast about psychology, mythology, identity, relationships, culture, and the interior life.

Hosted by Allison N. Fischer, the podcast explores the deeper questions that shape who we become: how identity is formed and transformed, how we develop self-trust and discernment, how relationships influence the stories we tell about ourselves, and what it means to live with greater sovereignty, responsibility, and depth.

Drawing from psychology, mythology, archetypal traditions, literature, philosophy, and the lived experience of women, episodes examine themes of descent and return, integration, power, love, belonging, solitude, wisdom, boundaries, responsibility, and the long process of becoming more fully oneself.

Some episodes begin with a psychological question. Others begin with a myth, an archetype, a relationship, or a cultural pattern. Together, they form an ongoing inquiry into the inner life—and into what becomes possible when we learn to meet our lives with greater consciousness, agency, and wisdom.

  • The Fates: The Wisdom of What Cannot Be Controlled — Not Everything Is Yours to Decide
    2026/10/29

What belongs to our agency—and what belongs to reality?

In Greek mythology, the three Fates—Clotho, Lachesis, and Atropos—spin, measure, and cut the thread of human life. Their mythology offers a powerful framework for exploring sovereignty, agency, acceptance, grief, choice, and the limits of control.

In this episode of Create Love Create Freedom, Allison Fischer explores what the Fates can teach us about living wisely within circumstances we cannot completely control. We consider the difference between acceptance and resignation, why good choices cannot guarantee desired outcomes, how to recognize when something truly has ended, and why mature sovereignty requires knowing where our power stops.

Because sovereignty does not mean controlling everything that happens.

It means understanding what belongs to us within the life we have actually been given.

    In this episode, we explore:

    • Clotho and the circumstances we are given
    • Lachesis and the choices that still shape our lives
    • Atropos, endings, mortality, and grief
    • The difference between agency and control
    • Acceptance versus resignation
    • Why wise decisions cannot guarantee outcomes
    • When perseverance becomes resistance to reality
    • Sovereignty without omnipotence
    • How to recognize what is—and is not—ours to decide

Perhaps the opposite of control is not always powerlessness. Sometimes the opposite of control is a relationship with reality.

  • The Psychology of Prudence: Knowing What Not to Do
    2026/10/25

What if wisdom isn't only knowing what to do—but knowing what not to do?

We live in a culture that celebrates action: take the leap, say the thing, make the decision, seize the opportunity, trust yourself, move forward. And sometimes action is exactly what courage requires.

But as we become more capable, another form of wisdom becomes necessary: prudence.

In this episode of Create Love Create Freedom, we explore prudence as the psychology of governed power—the ability to consider timing, consequence, proportion, uncertainty, and what actually deserves our attention before deciding how to act.

Because action is not always agency. Sometimes we act because we cannot tolerate uncertainty, discomfort, anger, or the feeling of not being in control. Mature agency gives us another option: we can pause long enough to determine what a situation actually requires.

We'll explore why prudence considers consequences beyond the immediate moment, why timing is part of wisdom, and why restraint should never be confused with women making themselves smaller. True restraint is meaningful precisely because we know we are free to act.

And as our power grows, perhaps maturity becomes increasingly selective.

    Not every opportunity deserves pursuit.
Not every criticism deserves a response.
    Not every relationship deserves repair.
Not every possibility deserves to become a project.
And not everything we are capable of carrying is ours to carry.

Sometimes the wisest decision is the one no one will ever see—the argument we didn't continue, the opportunity we allowed to pass, the responsibility we declined, or the move we became wise enough to leave unmade.

Because mature power doesn't need to be everywhere.

    It knows where it belongs.

  • Persephone and the Shadow Empress: The Woman Who Authors Her Own Life
    2026/10/22

Can a woman enter love without surrendering the throne of her own life?

In this episode of Create Love Create Freedom, we return to the myth of Persephone—but not simply as the maiden who descends into the Underworld. We explore Persephone as the Shadow Empress: the woman who has developed enough self-possession, judgment, and inner authority to love deeply without disappearing inside love.

The maiden asks, Will I be chosen?

The Queen understands that she is choosing too.

We explore why Hades does not make Persephone a queen, the difference between being chosen by someone powerful and developing power of your own, and how another person can profoundly influence who you become without becoming the author of your identity.

Because sovereignty does not mean remaining untouched.

Love can change us. It can ask us to compromise, sacrifice, trust, receive, and sometimes imagine an entirely different future. The deeper question is whether we remain present in the authorship of those choices.

We also explore the idea of a shared throne—how two sovereign people can build a life together without either person surrendering their individual authority—and why secure power does not need to dominate, control, or continually prove itself.

Finally, we return to one of Persephone's greatest gifts: her ability to move between worlds. She can inhabit darkness and light, solitude and intimacy, independence and partnership, the maiden and the Queen, without becoming trapped in any single identity.

Perhaps sovereignty isn't about finding the one world where you finally belong.

It is about belonging so deeply to yourself that you can move between many worlds without losing who you are.

    The throne was always hers.
