What happens when you decide to become a goalie… as an adult?! In our latest episode, we’re joined by our Dutch friend Maaike, who took the plunge into the crease later in life and lived to tell the tale! 😂
Maaike shares her journey into goaltending — how she got started, what drew her to the position, the highs, the lows, the challenges, the inevitable goalie struggles, and why anyone would willingly choose to stand in front of a bunch of people firing frozen rubber at them!
We also look ahead at the goalies to watch this season, with our picks from both the NHL and PWHL. Who’s poised for a breakout? Who should be on your radar? And which goalies could surprise us?
And, of course, we finish things off with the latest Toronto Maple Leafs news, because apparently we can’t go an entire episode without talking Leafs! 🍁
From the Netherlands to the NHL and PWHL, this episode has goalies, hockey stories, laughs and plenty of crease chaos!
