    It's time for our special Episode 51, the preview of The Open Championship. Sammy kicks things off rounding up his golf for the week with a round at Lonsdale Links, while Lynchy shares a couple of under-par rounds of his own.

    At (10:00) there's a big announcement — thanks to our friends at Callaway, we're giving away a dozen July Major Series Chrome Tour golf balls. Lynchy then delivers his All In The Tips for the week and, with it being Open week, the topic is bunkers (11:31).

    At (15:31) it's Around the Grounds, covering off the Evian Championship and the Scottish Open. At (26:42) it's time for the main event — our preview of The Open Championship at Royal Birkdale. The guys chat through what makes the course so special, the security ready to deal with any patrons behaving poorly, and the legacy on the line for the players this week (38:18).

    At (46:30) the guys touch on some interesting thoughts about Bryson courtesy of Nick Faldo, before Lynchy breaks down who he thinks Royal Birkdale will suit (49:56), and they run through the big contingent of Australians teeing it up this week (53:09).

    At (56:01) it's time for The Draft as the guys make their picks for the week, before The Scramble sees them rattle through some Gimme or Putt That questions. We then finish with a listener Course Language Confessional (1:21:26).

  • Why Links Golf Is So Special, Evian & Scottish Open Previews | Episode 50

    Sammy and Lynchy kick off the milestone Episode 50 catching up on their golf during the week — Sammy braving a wet day down at The National and Lynchy indoors, getting into how off-course golf has made the game so much more accessible in recent years.

    At (8:54) it's straight into All In The Tips — with the pod dropping on Thursdays, the guys want to get you ready for your weekend hit, and Lynchy delivers a great tip on club face alignment.

    At (13:57) it's Around the Grounds, opening with Chris Gotterup's win at the John Deere Classic. At (20:51) the guys preview the Evian Championship this weekend, before turning to the Scottish Open at The Renaissance Club (26:46), where Sammy and Lynchy get into what makes links golf so special.

    At (34:55) it's school picks time as the guys select their winners for the Evian and Scottish Open, before getting into The Scramble with more weekly golf news. Then it's the debut of a brand new segment — Gimme or Putt That (46:02).

    At (54:34) the guys read out a listener question from one of our friends at Yarra Bend, which leads Lynchy into some great advice on the different mindset required when you're 100 metres out from the fairway compared to 140 metres out from the trees.

  • The Reality Of Tour Pressure, PGA Tour Shake-Up & Ranking Golf Sins | Episode 49

    In Episode 49 of Course Language, all thanks to Callaway, while we wait for a Monday finish at the Travelers Championship, the guys get straight into Around the Grounds, opening with Haeran Ryu taking out the KPMG Women's PGA Championship (2:53).

    At (11:04) the conversation turns to the Italian Open, with Eugenio Lopez-Chacarra claiming the title on the DP World Tour. At (12:15) Sammy plays Lynchy a clip of Bryson DeChambeau and Pablo Larrazábal — two players at very different points in their careers but both feeling the unique struggles of professional golf. Lynchy opens up on what it's actually like dealing with pressure out on tour.

    At (20:11) it's time for The Scramble, with Lynchy priming us on the changes coming to the PGA Tour from 2028 and what it all looks like from an Australian golfer's point of view. At (33:40) Sammy throws up 10 golf etiquette faux pas for Lynchy to blind rank.

  • The US Open Mega Review — Wyndham Clark Conquers Shinnecock | Episode 48

    It's time for our US Open Mega Review as the guys get stuck into the results and talking points, with Wyndham Clark taking out the 126th US Open at Shinnecock Hills.

    At (3:40) Lynchy breaks down how Wyndham got the job done in tough conditions, enduring the New York crowd (5:00). The guys discuss Sam Burns' chances (16:17) before getting into how the course played through the week — the poa greens, the slopes and the demands of the layout (18:16) — and just how crucial the caddies were around this place (21:52).

    At (24:37) we hear from the pros on what an 18 handicapper would realistically shoot around Shinnecock, and Lynchy runs through a remarkable list of players with the same or fewer majors than Wyndham (31:48).

    At (32:30) the guys touch on other notable performances, including Scottie Scheffler, Sam Burns (34:32), Tom Kim (36:30) and Keith Mitchell's impressive four rounds of 70 (38:44). At (49:13) they turn to the disappointing showings from our Aussies, the LIV players continuing to miss cuts (50:23), and yet another rock-solid US Open performance from Xander (52:42).

    At (55:14) the guys chat through some of the feel good moments from the week.     Sammy and Lynchy kick off the show touching on some golf during the week, with Sammy fresh off a round at Yarra Yarra and Lynchy getting into the recent changes made to the course thanks to Tom Doak.

    At (7:59) there's big news to break down, with the Australian Open heading to Peninsula Kingswood in 2027, 2029 and 2030. Lynchy runs through the routing of the composite course, utilising PK's North and South layouts.

    At (17:32) it's Around the Grounds, opening with Bud Cauley taking out the Canadian Open, with a quick Mulligan thrown in courtesy of Wyndham Clark (19:01). At (22:53) the guys get into their preview of the 126th US Open, to be played at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton, New York.

    At (46:13) it's time for another Scramble as Lynchy asks Sammy — should past US Open champions like our own Geoff Ogilvy have to qualify, or should they receive a special exemption like they do at The Masters and The Open?

    At (53:10) the guys are joined by special guest, Dr Tina Maio, Adam Scott's longtime osteopath, to chat about Scotty's incredible feat of playing his 100th consecutive major this week. Tina discusses what goes into maintaining the body to keep performing at the highest level for so long, what it takes for players to stay in good working order over gruelling weeks like the US Open, what makes Adam Scott so different, and his chances at Shinnecock this week.

    At (1:15:37) Lynchy closes us out with another confessional from his recent golf trip.

    At (10:07) the guys touch on the new MiScore app and how it could genuinely help your golf game, before at (16:47) turning their attention to Golf Australia's latest mission statement — Sammy and Lynchy each give their take and throw out some team format ideas to make the game more fun and accessible.

    At (28:07) it's Around the Grounds, opening with exciting news for Australian golf as Travis Smyth earns a last minute inclusion into LIV Golf Korea over the weekend. The guys then head to the PGA Tour with Russ Henley taking the win, before Sammy puts the question to Lynchy at (34:55) — where has Cam Davis been?

    At (42:44) the conversation turns to the upcoming Women's US Open at Riviera, a rare major played on Kikuyu grass, with Lynchy breaking down what that actually means for the players and how it changes the challenge.

    At (50:37) The Scramble returns with Sammy asking Lynchy whether Australia's best golf courses should open up a ballot system allowing everyday golfers to play twice a year.
