For this episode, we cover the worst Thor movie we've ever seen. With a 1.7 on IMDb, starring Richard Grieco as Loki and Kevin Nash as Odin, we give you Almighty Thor.

Thor battles Loki for the Hammer of Invincibility and the survival of Earth.

Greg really hated this movie, especially after looking into all the mythology they got horribly wrong. Thor is whining and crying through most of it. Plus, Thor uses swords and guns. GUNS! No seriously, Thor uses guns! It's awful.

Almighty Thor is available to stream on Fawesome, Peacock, Plex, Pluto TV, and Tubi.

  • Wings Hauser: A Tribute

Upon learning about the passing of Wings Hauser, it took us about 2 seconds to decide we needed to do an episode in his honor. We have been in awe of him since before starting the podcast, which is why he was our first episode, and every season premiere since. We discuss all the work we've seen him in, when he made us laugh, when he gave us comfort, and when he was just Wings being Wings. This is a somber episode, as we are sad, but we do have some laughs about the memories.

RIP Mr. Hauser, and thank you.

  • What If I'm Gay?

We have a guest! This month, we are joined by Greg's fiance, Erica, to discuss the 1987 afterschool special, What If I'm Gay?, starring Evan Handler, Gabrielle Carteris, and Ed Marinaro.

A popular high school student comes to terms with his sexuality.

Despite the many uses of the cigarette word, the special handles the subject fairly well, and in under an hour! It even keeps you guessing who is gay until the reveal about halfway through. Even though it is progressively discussed, we still find reasons to laugh at it, because that's what we do!

Our first movie appearance can be seen in The Final Possession, available today at srscinemastore.com.

The trailer for the next movie we'll be in, Four Nights in Fear Forest, is available at https://youtu.be/Ss6poijIv_0?si=82TUlcC0wyWLtqZI

Nothing says we covered a Mark Polonia movie like glitches during the recording that we decided not to remedy. Ignore them and just listen to us discuss our joyful viewing of 2020's Shark Encounters of the Third Kind.

Aliens come to earth to take over using sharks, as well as to eliminate previous test subjects.

Mark Polonia says, "Continuity is limiting." That philosophy is widely apparent in this movie. The water shots are all over the place. There's a head that looks like no one, and is obviously paper mache. We know it, and we love it. Plus, we get a reappearance of our beloved Land Shark!

Shark Encounters of the Third Kind is available to stream on Fawesome, Freevee, Plex, Prime Video, The Roku Channel, and Tubi, and to rent or buy on Prime Video.

  • The Last Precinct

Welcome to the premiere of season 4! This year we begin with a very rare piece from Wings Hauser, a short-lived TV show from 1986 called The Last Precinct. The cast also includes Adam West, Keenan Wynn, Ernie Hudson, James Cromwell, and Rick Ducommun.

Precinct 56 is the last precinct for these eccentric officers who are always butting heads with their superiors to keep from getting disbanded.

Since this show has 8 episodes, we couldn't cover everything like we usually do.
There are sight gags, onscreen jokes, and quick witted dialogue that we note because we think it gives this show some charm. Unfortunately, there are also a lot of jokes that remind you this show came out in 1986, because what was funny then is not okay now. But, hey, Wings Hauser!

Welcome to our season 3 finale!
Thank you everyone for 600 downloads!

For this month's episode, we talk about a dummy and his senior thesis. Oh, and there's a life-sized wooden guy, too.

A group of college seniors go to a cottage for fear therapy, and discover a wooden sculpture named Morty as they face their fears.

Everyone in this has serious boundary issues. Troy and Leslie's backstory is extra gross. The soundtrack is awful and much too loud. Morty is probably the best character, which isn't saying much. Watch as his "wooden" body wrinkles as he moves! Let us tell you all the illogical aspects of this movie, including a 12 hour visit to a closed Santa's Village in the spring. Sadly, we can admit, this movie is better than the sequel.

The Fear is available to stream on Tubi and YouTube, and to rent or buy on Amazon.

  • Gone with the Pope
    2024/11/11

In episode 3 of last season, we covered a movie starring Duke Mitchell. If you heard it, you know we were not kind. For this month's episode, we apologize for some of that as we talk about a movie he wrote, directed, and starred in called Gone with the Pope.

Paul (Duke Mitchell) is hired to do a hit, and uses the money to fund his own plan to kidnap the Pope for ransom.

This movie has its issues. It gets weird and has some racist dialogue. But it was filmed in the mid-70s, so that's not too much of a surprise. What is a surprise is Duke Mitchell. He's the best actor in it. The script he wrote has a unique plot, and includes a little speech by Paul that we feel everyone needs to hear. We soak in this one solely to give Mr. Mitchell the credit he deserves.

*Edit: Duke Mitchell's son is named Jeffrey, not Jerry.*

  • Bloodfist 6: Ground Zero

This month we cover 24ish of our "experiences" with one movie, 1994's Bloodfist 6: Ground Zero.

A military courier must save a nuclear launch site from terrorists.

Of all the Bloodfists, we chose this one for all the things that irritate Greg. From the rabbits, to the gun use inside, to the ineptitude of the military, to the obvious copying of Die Hard, there's a lot to discuss. The tin garbage can deserves an acting credit.
