On this episode of Mouse Management and More, we are staying in the Moderate category and heading somewhere a little different. Disney's Coronado Springs Resort is the largest Moderate on Walt Disney World property, it has a full convention center, and it comes in two very distinct versions depending on where you book. The standard rooms are clean, comfortable, and exactly what you need after a long day in the parks. The Gran Destino Tower is something else entirely, a fifteen-story hotel that feels like a boutique resort in Barcelona, named after a six-minute animated film that Walt Disney and Salvador Dalí began together in 1946. We are talking a rooftop restaurant with fireworks views, a hidden bar sitting on an island in the middle of a lake, a Mayan pyramid waterslide, and a resort that is genuinely bigger than some small towns. There is more here than meets the eye. Come find it with me.
