  • The Success Wound: When Achievement Is Never Enough with Brooke Taylor
    2026/09/03

    Send us Fan Mail

In Episode 671 of It’s Bizzy, I sit down with transformational career coach, author, speaker, and former Google Marketing Lead Brooke Taylor for a conversation about success, burnout, sobriety, faith, and what happens when we begin tying our worth to what we accomplish.

Brooke is the creator of the “Success Wound™,” the idea that so many high achievers begin to believe they are only as valuable as what they produce, achieve, or accomplish.

We talk about Brooke’s own journey from working at Google to getting sober at 24, and how recovery helped her begin looking at ambition, achievement, and success in an entirely different way.

We also talk about burnout, people-pleasing, perfectionism, workaholism, comparison, faith, and that constant feeling of “I should be doing more.”

One of the things I loved most about this conversation is Brooke’s reminder that ambition itself isn’t the problem. The question is: where is it coming from?

Are we chasing success because it genuinely matters to us, or because we’re hoping the next achievement will finally make us feel like we are enough?

This is such an interesting conversation for anyone who has ever worked hard, accomplished the thing they thought would make them happy, and then wondered… now what?

Sometimes life gets lifey. Sometimes all we can do is take it one moment at a time, let go of what we cannot control, and trust that God has us.

  • When Grief Is Complicated: Losing My Brother, Letting Go & Trusting God
    2026/09/01

    Send us Fan Mail

In Episode 670 of It’s Bizzy, I’m sharing something deeply personal: the unexpected loss of my younger brother.

Out of respect for my family, I’m not going into the circumstances surrounding his death. Instead, I want to talk about grief — especially complicated grief, family relationships, loss, faith, and what it feels like when your emotions don’t look the way you think they’re supposed to.

I haven’t cried the way I expected to. I’ve continued working. I’ve been writing. I’ve been praying. And I’ve been learning, once again, how powerless I am over so many things in life.

In this episode, I talk about my relationship with my brother, remembering the good instead of only the difficult parts, processing loss in my own way, and trusting God when I cannot understand or control what is happening.

I also share how sobriety has taught me to sit with uncomfortable feelings instead of running from them, and why I believe there is no “right” way to grieve.

If you’ve ever lost someone you loved — especially someone with whom you had a complicated relationship — I hope this episode reminds you that you are allowed to feel whatever you feel.

Sometimes life gets lifey. Sometimes all we can do is take it one moment at a time, let go of what we cannot control, and trust that God has us.

In Episode 668 of It’s Bizzy, Elizabeth “Bizzy” Chance talks about the end-of-summer reset, dealing with difficult people, letting go of resentment, and remembering that you do not need January 1, a birthday, or a major life event to begin again.

Bizzy shares why we spend too much time replaying the past, worrying about the future, judging what other people are doing, and trying to control things that simply are not ours to control. From an unexpected beach ticket and “Karen” behavior to a powerful message she heard at Mass about forgiveness, this episode is a reminder that peace begins when we stop carrying yesterday into today.

You are more than your mistakes, your relationships, your roles, or your past. You can choose a new direction at any moment.

Bizzy also shares a simple spiritual practice for getting out of your head, calming the mental spin, and inviting God back into the present moment.

    In this episode:

    · Why you can restart your life at any age or stage

    · Letting go of regret, resentment, and remorse

    · Why forgiving yourself matters

    · Accepting that you cannot control other people

    · Finding peace in a chaotic world

    · Trusting God with what you cannot change

    · Setting boundaries and staying true to yourself

    · A simple “Come, Holy Spirit” practice for anxious or spinning thoughts

Today can be the first day of the rest of your life. You just have to be willing to begin.

  • Why Diets Keep Failing Us: Body Trust, GLP-1s & Making Peace with Food
    2026/08/20

    Send us Fan Mail

Episode 667 of It’s Bizzy features Elizabeth Chance in conversation with ICF-certified coach, motivational speaker, author, and fashion designer Regina Oswald about dieting, body image, GLP-1 medications, emotional eating, and what it really takes to make peace with food.

After beginning restrictive dieting at just 12 years old, Regina spent decades cycling through calorie counting, Weight Watchers, Atkins, keto, intermittent fasting, and other diet programs before realizing that constantly trying to control her body was taking a serious physical and emotional toll.

Elizabeth and Regina explore why traditional diets so often fail, how body image is shaped by family, culture, social media, and the beauty industry, and why learning to listen to your body may be more powerful than another restrictive eating plan.

They also take on one of the biggest conversations in wellness today: GLP-1 medications and weight loss. Regina shares her perspective on food noise, hunger cues, nutrition, muscle preservation, and why weight-loss medications should not replace properly nourishing the body.

The conversation also goes deeper into emotional eating, self-worth, aging, faith, and the pressure women feel to constantly improve or “fix” themselves. Regina explains her journey from body control to body trust and why caring for your body can come from love rather than criticism.

If you’ve ever felt exhausted by dieting, ashamed of your body, obsessed with the scale, overwhelmed by food rules, or wondered whether you can finally have a peaceful relationship with food, Episode 667 of It’s Bizzy is for you.

    In this episode:

    · Why diets can create a cycle of restriction and overeating

    · Body image and the pressure women face to look a certain way

    · GLP-1 medications, weight loss, and food noise

    · Emotional eating and understanding what you’re really hungry for

    · Moving from body control to body trust

    · Self-worth, aging, faith, and learning to appreciate your body

    · Sustainable nutrition and mind-body harmony

    · How to create a healthier relationship with food without another restrictive diet

Regina Oswald is the author of Liberation from the Diet Prison: A Journey to Mind-Body Harmony, which offers women a nine-week pathway toward a healthier, more peaceful relationship with food and themselves.

You are not alone. God is always with you.

  • Learning to Live the Life You Actually Have
    2026/08/18

    Episode 665

Twenty years sober — and life looks nothing like I thought it would.

In this solo episode of It’s Bizzy, I reflect on two decades of sobriety, how my relationship with 12-step recovery has changed, and what wellness means to me today.

From getting sober in 2006 to living in a world of sober curiosity, GLP-1s, ingredient labels, fitness, sunshine, faith and self-care, so much has changed. But the biggest change has been internal.

I talk about learning who I am outside of alcohol, motherhood, marriage, expectations and other people’s opinions. I share why my relationship with God has become the foundation of my life, why real friendship matters more than having a huge circle, and how I’m learning to sit with uncomfortable seasons instead of trying to escape them.

We also talk about sugar, modern wellness culture, loneliness, gratitude, mental health, letting go of regret and accepting that life doesn’t always turn out the way we planned.

Twenty years of sobriety hasn’t given me a perfect life. It has given me the ability to live my life — one day at a time.

If you’re sober, sober curious, rebuilding your life, going through a transition, or simply trying to figure out who you are now, this conversation is for you.

You are not alone. God is always with you.

  • How to Spot Relationship Red Flags Before You Lose Yourself | Dave McLachlan
    2026/08/13

    Send us Fan Mail

In Episode 664 of It’s Bizzy, Elizabeth Chance sits down with ICF Certified Relationship Coach, author, and Is He Worthy? founder Dave McLachlan for an honest conversation about relationship red flags, emotional safety, boundaries, compatibility, and why we sometimes stay even when we already know something isn’t right.

How do you know if someone is truly right for you—or if you’re ignoring the red flags because of chemistry, loneliness, hope, or wishful thinking?

Dave shares his W.O.R.T.H.Y. Method, designed to help women evaluate relationships more objectively and recognize whether a partner truly aligns with their values and needs.

    Elizabeth and Dave talk about:

    · Why women ignore relationship red flags

    · Chemistry vs. long-term compatibility

    · Dating after heartbreak, trauma, divorce, or recovery

    · Why sobriety does not automatically mean emotional healing

    · The difference between selfish and selfless partners

    · Green flags to look for when dating

    · Why peace may matter more than butterflies

    · Dating apps, texting, intimacy, and second chances

    · How childhood experiences can influence adult relationships

    · Why being honest with yourself can save you years of heartache

If you’ve ever asked yourself, “Is he really right for me?” “Am I settling?” or “Why do I keep repeating the same relationship patterns?” this conversation is for you.

  • At 57, I Don’t Want a Diet — I Want a Better Life
    2026/08/12

    Send us Fan Mail

    Episode 663 of It’s Bizzy

At 57, wellness means something completely different to me than it did when I was younger.

I’m not interested in another diet, chasing the latest fitness trend, or trying to look 25 again. I want to feel strong. I want peace. I want purpose. I want meaningful relationships, a closer relationship with God, and a life that actually feels good to live.

In this episode, I’m talking about how my definition of health has changed — from Jenny Craig and Atkins to movement, balance, sleep, prayer, community, less time on our phones, and the fascinating idea behind Blue Zones.

Miami Beach’s interest in becoming a Blue Zones community got me thinking about something bigger:

Do we really need to live in a Blue Zone to create one for ourselves?

What if wellness after 50 isn’t about doing more?

What if it’s about figuring out what makes us feel healthy, peaceful, connected, purposeful and alive?

Because at this stage of my life, I don’t just want to live longer.

    I want to live better.

You are not alone. God is always with you.
