Rev. Jenny T. Lannom is a native Houstonian and Texan. She is a regional Director of Pastoral Care and CPE with Baylor Scott & White Health in Central Texas. Jenny also serves as a current Director of the ACPE Board. She has previously served on the ACPE Board in the early 2000’s, initially as Secretary and then as the Southwest Regional Representative. While a regional representative, Jenny chaired the task force on ACPE Governance Revision for the Board. She also served on the Certification Committee of the South-Central Region of ACPE, before the restructuring of ACPE, Inc. She is a United Methodist Elder in the Texas Annual Conference.
Jenny attended Emory University’s Candler School of Theology in Atlanta, Georgia. She graduated with a Master of Divinity degree and did her initial four units of CPE at Georgia Baptist Medical Center as part of her seminary coursework. Jenny served as an Associate Pastor after graduating from seminary before moving into professional chaplaincy.
Jenny began her chaplaincy career at Texas Medical Center of Houston as a Staff Chaplain at Houston Methodist Hospital. She served as a cardiac/nephrology chaplain for 11 years. While at Methodist, she became board-certified as a professional Chaplain through the Association of Professional Chaplains (for 36 years) and trained to become a Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) Certified Educator with the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE). Jenny has managed CPE programs in 4 different states, working in regional hospitals, a level I trauma hospital, and a Cancer Medical Center. She was an active Board-Certified Chaplain for 36 years.”
