(Ep 13) My guests, Steve Boyls, a software engineer, and his wife, Dr. Kathy Boyls, are co-authors of the book titled, “I’ve Been to Heaven.” Steve was admitted to the ICU due to COVID-19. He endured a grueling forty-five days on a ventilator and spent three and a half months in the hospital. As his body fought valiantly to survive, his wife, Dr. Kathy Boyls, faced numerous challenges, including navigating bureaucratic hurdles, adhering to medical protocols, and spiritual warfare over the life of her husband.

But as the battle raged on earth, Steve was ushered into Heaven, where he witnessed unspeakable beauty, unimaginable joy, and overwhelming hope. He describes being reunited with old friends, family, and pets, as well as an incredible encounter with Jesus. Steve realized that Heaven is more personal and relational than he ever imagined.

Steve Boyls miraculous recovery serves as a powerful reminder that miracles do happen, and God still answers the prayer of faith.

(Ep 11) My guests today, Dr. Terry & Renee Wortz, are my long time friends from our early teen years!

Just as Terry and Renee were enjoying their retirement, Terry began exhibiting symptoms of Lewy Body Dementia. As a medical professional, he was acutely aware of the grim prognosis and excruciating progression of this debilitating disease.

Terry’s health steadily declined until the doctors informed them both that there was no more hope for his recovery. Renee had already begun planning his funeral. Terry was on "end of life" medications, and his body was starting to shut down. However, in his dying moments, he expressed his desire to live to Renee. At that moment, she immediately anointed him and prayed long and hard for God to heal him. Two days later, he was sitting up in bed, off oxygen, and eagerly asking for black coffee! God granted a miracle healing in Terry’s body! Thank you, Lord!

Terry and Renee now share their testimony of God’s love and healing wherever the Lord opens the door. They emphasis that suffering is not a punishment from God but rather an opportunity to be used by the Lord to share the love of Jesus to others.

My guest today, Janet Swink, is a mother of four. She started a nursing career, where her natural gift of compassion and caring unknowingly prepared her for future unforeseen challenges.

Janet faced the heart-wrenching journey of witnessing her young daughter slowly succumb to a rare genetic disorder called Sanfilippo Syndrome. Regrettably, there’s no cure for this syndrome, resulting in the tragic slow death sentence for helpless children.
