In this episode, we explore the story of Noah through the lens of God's holiness as revealed in Genesis 6:1-13. Why would a good and loving God choose to wipe out nearly all of humanity? By examining what God saw, what He felt, and who He is, we uncover the seriousness of sin and the unshakable purity of a holy God—and why Noah's obedience mattered then, and still speaks to us today.

Jesus was a phenomenal story teller. He knew just how to speak to the hearts of people through his stories, and today PJ walks us through three of Jesus's stories to illustrate how Jesus sees us so clearly and lovingly to this day.

Jesus's fellowship with the lost was driven by his understanding of their condition, their past, and their potential for redemption.

One of the primary things God created us for is for a community of Godly friendships that point us to Jesus Christ. Rich, Godly, satisfying, meaningful friendships. PJ uses the story of Barnabus & Paul from Acts 9 to illustrate how we could be just one biblical community away from changing the course of our destiny. Then PJ pulls from David's story three friends that helped David become who God wanted him to be. Listen in to learn about these friends and take an inventory of your community? We have a special message today where Owen Githanga with Compassion International joins PJ to discuss being rich in good deeds. One good deed transformed Owen's life, and introduced Owen to Jesus Christ. In a previous message in this series PJ gave us the good news and bad news that we are rich. Now using Paul's words in 1 Timothy 6:17-19 we are learning how to identify distractions and leverage our riches for the honor and glory of Christ Jesus.

Biblical teachings emphasize that honoring God with wealth leads to abundant blessings, as seen in the example of the Macedonian churches that gave beyond their means in times of trial. Ultimately, obedient giving is not just a transaction but a transformation that enriches both the giver and the community.

In part 2 of our current sermon series, Shane Harrington shares the Deceitfulness of Riches and explores the dual nature of wealth, revealing its deceptive allure. Biblical teachings emphasize that wealth can distract from spiritual growth, as illustrated in Matthew 13:22, where life's worries and the lure of money choke out God's message. Ultimately, true fulfillment and peace come from a relationship with God rather than material wealth, as money cannot address life’s deeper issues or provide lasting security.

Pastor PJ Noland encourages believers to focus on spiritual richness and stewardship rather than seeking satisfaction solely through material wealth.

Good News: You are rich. Wealth is a gift from God, meant to be enjoyed and used wisely (Ecclesiastes 5:19).

Bad News: You are rich. Wealth can make it harder to depend on God and can distract from important spiritual priorities (Luke 18:24-25).

When you abide in Christ people are going to treat you different. So today we aren't necessarily talking about how to show love to those people who are hard to love or the ones that love us, but PJ is walking us through what it looks like to handle negative reactions when we are abiding in Christ.
