    2025/09/10

    Good Morning CoinDroppers!

I'm happy to announce that I met my goal and managed to crank this bad boy out! It was a LOT of work and a lot of long nights grinding away at the computer to edit. Just a warning, the audio quality is NOT the best. We did what we could in post but we were trying to capture the voices of three people on one very directional microphone. I hope it's at least passable. I'll be investing in a secondary mic for PAX next year that will hopefully capture more clear audio in this situation in the future. That being said it does clear up a lot on the Patreon side because that was recorded almost 24 hours later.

Below are the topics in order of discussion as well as links to Steam pages as always. I hope you enjoy the show I worked very hard to get this done.

  • Episode 111 - Whoa... Déjà vu
    2025/08/20

    Good Morning CoinDroppers!

Today unfortunately we have another solo episode. Mike had to pick up some extra work that ran long so you're stuck with just me again. Let's get into the content!

    Jurassic Park Survive

Funny enough, I briefly talked about how I hoped Ferocious would hold me over till Jurassic Park Survive dropped, well Saber put out a development update this week because this particular project wont be at Gamescom. They announced the depth the team is going to to make sure the game is exactly what we hope for and told us that everyone on the team has a deep seeded passion for Jurassic Park. Personally I think the project looks amazing so far and I'm chomping at the bit to get my hands on it.

Moon Beast Productions New Untitled ARPG

This one is so new the team hasn't even released any real footage. Some big name Youtubers in the ARPG world broke this one and the footage I found was from Rhykker a ARPG fan I've followed for years. Moon Beast is comprised of some key members from the Diablo and Diablo 2 team and their new ARPG has me interested but skeptical. They're moving very far from established trends in ARPGs and I'm interested in seeing how that ends up playing out. This footage is very VERY early in development so take everything with a grain of salt and expect changes.

    The Lightkeeper

A new horror game from developer DarkPhobia Games that looks oddly exactly like what I was talking about last week with The Lighthouse. In fact this game seems to take direct inspiration either from the film or the true story of the men who disappeared. Either way it's an interesting looking narrative that caught my attention.

    Not So Quick Fire News

  • Episode 110 - A Trio of Indie Titles You Might Have Missed
    2025/08/13

    Good Morning CoinDroppers!

Today I'm on my own, Mike needed the weekend off so I handled the podcast and the editing on this episode so if it's not great that's my fault. Hope you enjoy the content regardless. Just a reminder there will be no episode in two weeks because I'll be out of the country. With that said let's jump into this content!

    Ferocious

First off is a really fun looking survival FPS Shooter that seems to be either made by one person or a very small team. Apparently this was on the Future Games show and I managed to miss it. The game looks like a fun blend of Far Cry like gun play mixed with Dinosaurs. I'm sold. There's a free demo on their steam page if you want to check it out for yourself.

    Norse Oath of Blood

Our second Indie title is a new game from a developer based in Norway. Norse Oath of Blood is a turn based RPG title that looks to play a lot like Baldur's Gate but is historically based. Play as the son of a murdered Jarl and take vengeance against your slain father in this narrative story rich RPG. I'm sold.

    Will: Follow the Light

A realistic, single-player, first person journey across the harsh Northern Sea. Will: Follow the light appears to be a gripping narrative about a lighthouse keeper who finds out his son has vanished and sets sail to find him. Realistic sailing systems, no HUD or quest markers, and a gloomy grounded atmosphere make this a game that quickly got me interested.

  • Episode 109 - A New Dark Messiah Like Game
    2025/08/06

    Good Morning Coindroppers,

Just a quick announcement at the top. No episode on the 26th as I'll be out of town and out of the country! The following week will be our PAX coverage so here's hoping that's a good episode.

    Tides of Tomorrow

Tides of Tomorrow is a new game announced at the THQ showcase earlier in the month. It seems to be a single player game that connects to the net and changes its stories based on the choices your friends made when they played. Interesting.

    Fatekeeper

Another new game announce at the THQ showcase. This one seems heavily inspired by Dark Messiah and I'm here for it! That said, it does raise some concerns because it's another small indie team of roughly 10 people making a game inspired by the best FPS RPG ever. Sounds like Alkahest which has been silent for a very long time now. That said THQ has thrown money behind this game so I'm a little more optimistic about this game.

    Where Winds Meet

A new game from a China based dev team that seems to be a single player / co-optional / mmo that's going to be free to play and boasts over 150 hrs of content. We'll check it out when it drops, what do we have to lose? It's free.

    Quick Fire News

    • Darksiders 4 Announced at THQ Showcase

  • Episode 108 - Hellraiser, Vampires, and "Fantasy"
    2025/07/30

    Good Morning CoinDroppers!

Today we've got a pretty large show! I'm happy to say we have a ton of news today so lets jump into it!

First off as mentioned at the top, Squid's Divine Creations is a new acquaintance I met who actually paints art. Maybe that's not as rare these days as I think it is but most people I tend to meet these days do digital art and it feels like actual painting artists these days are pretty rare so check out Squid's work here.

    Hellraiser: Revival

The first ever Hellraiser game is coming (eventually) and we're happy to hear that thought the team making the game, Boss Team Games, is the same team that made the disappointing new Evil Dead game it will NOT be a 4v1 asymmetric multiplayer game. Hellraiser: Revival is a single player narrative FPS survival horror game and thank the BDSM pleasure gods for that!

    Fable Delayed

Coming off the coat tails of the reboot of Perfect Dark being canceled and that team shut down, Craig Duncan, Head of Xbox Games Studio's announced that Fable is being pushed to 2026. However, a Xbox Insider on the Xbox Era podcast stated that he has two sources claiming it wont release till 2027. Both of these announcements raises concerns on whether or not this game will suffer the same fate of Perfect Dark.

    The Blood of Dawnwalker

We got a bit of an update on how time works in Blood of Dawnwalker and after rewatching the 20ish minute gameplay I'm a bit more hopeful and interested in this game. I'm trying to curb my expectations because even though ex Witcher devs are working on this game doesn't mean they have Witcher 3 levels of budget. The Blood of Dawnwalker takes place over 30 days and nights but the game doesn't end after that time. If you don't save your family by the end of those 30 days and nights your family will suffer "consequences" whatever that ends up meaning. Time in this game isn't just a ticking clock though, but this could add some interesting pressure to what otherwise is just another open world game.

  • Episode 107 - Frack You, Ubisoft
    2025/07/23

    Good Morning CoinDroppers!

Today Mike is leading the show! In episode 106 he kept giving me shit so I said he was doing the next episode. Well here it is. And in true Mike form (a fan of the canceled Division Heartland) He decided he wanted to name the episode Expletive You, Ubisoft.

At the top of the show I share my final thoughts on Red Dead Redemption II after finally completing the game and it might be kind of controversial considering all the awards and praise that game has received. Then we jump into the meat of it so lets dive in.

    The LiberNovo Omni Chair

This new chair made over 4 million dollars on kickstarter and seems like a pretty interesting design though a bit over the top for my taste. However, the kickstarter price IS quiet comparable to a Titan Evo SecretLabs chair and honest probably far more comfortable than one. If you're in the market for a new high end chair this might be one to look at.

Ubisoft Addresses "Stop Killing Games" Initiative

And to no ones surprise they basically say its "Irrelevant" and that they don't give a shit what anyone thinks which makes me pose the question. If Ubisoft says we don't own games when we pay for them is it still stealing when we don't?

Ubisoft "Shareholder" Confronts Ubisoft "Boss" about "Woke" Assassins Creed Shadows

Basically someone who own stock (possibly as little as 1 share) had some choice complaints about Assassins Creed Shadows. Honestly the whole thing sounds like some guys rant on Reddit so I wont pay it much mind. However, the fact that Ubisoft says that Assassins Creed Shadows is their best selling game of 2025 when it's the ONLY game they've sold in 2025 is hilarious and even laughable when the game didn't even break even with sales. Whether "woke" or not this company is pretty out of touch with what fans want from this franchise.

  • Episode 106 - Ghost of Yotei State of Play
    2025/07/16

    Good Morning CoinDroppers!

Today we're talking about two new indie games that got announce along with the deep dive Sucker Punch gave us on Ghost of Yotei so lets get into it!

    The Mound

A new co-op indie game set on a cursed island where you and up to three friends try to survive the Lovecraftian madness and leave the island with untold treasure. The game sounds great on paper and looks interesting enough but my personal fear is that this game will play like Warhammer Vermintide. Which isn't a bad game just one that isn't really that fun in my opinion.

    Tombwater

Our second new indie tittle for the night is inspired by the souls like genre and the good old Legend of Zelda games like Link to the Past. This game seems to combine western ascetic with occult horror. Throw in some souls like mechanics and a heap of nostalgic art style and my interest is peaked.

    Ghost of Yotei

Sony gave us a state of play for Ghost of Yotei and we got a look at some of the cool new mechanics of the game as we as the arsenal you'll have access to in the game. There's really not much to say here other than it looks like all the improvements they've made are a step in the right direction. Replacing the journal with the wolf pack function is a cool new unique way to handle questing and I cant wait to see how that all comes together.

    QUICK FIRE

    • More Diablo 2 Content?
    • Project 3dSen has released 1.0. Play classic NES Games In 3D
    • Steel Hunters is shutting down
    • Gorge A. Romero's Resident Evil Movie Documentary
