It's been a week, Neighbors. Work through me, Lord. Thank goodness that I'm around a group of people that love the same thing I love: media and the communication field. It's been helping.

In this episode, I give a rundown of what has occurred at the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) 50th convention. I was there reppin' the Northeast chapter, as well as the NABJ Entrepreneurship Task Force. I had the opportunity to speak, moderate, conduct a meeting (all with the help of Shernay Williams, chair of the Task Force and our mentor, Brett Chambers).

I also speak about how the city of Cleveland was welcoming to the organization hosting their convention there. They're screaming for more and I'm with giving it to the people! With that, most folks wasn't aware of NABJ's existence, so I spend time speaking about the importance of Black media. Last moves was spent on being a service to the underserved. It was a discussion that was touched on during a session. This thinking is important when creating a brand and it's a great way of living.

This show is dedicated to my stepfather Griffin Young, Jr. I dislike 'step' in this case because he taught me everything. Rest in Power and you're truly missed. Enjoy, everyone.

...I'm here...late and inconsistent *laughs*. In this round of talking, I talk about the lack of support I experienced from recent events I hosted. I give some points as to how to deal with not receiving love from people you expected to support you.

FYI, it's not healthy at all to depend on people to support you. Please acknowledge the feelings that come with it, BUT, find ways to deal with it and keep fighting your way TO THE TOP...!!!

I also speak on the recent defunding of public media and public radio. It's an unfortunate situation that Congress and yall president pushed, but there are ways to support your public stations in your city. This was an extension of my Thankful Thursdays thoughts and doings. I wanted to speak (more) about having, and ultimately finding gratitude in the things that surround us. Granted, it’s very easy to focus on what factors aren’t assisting specific systems and environments, but it seems difficult to find the small, or big things that serve us.

In this state of things, we have to learn to lean more in what serves us greatly. Even if it’s a little gesture. In this episode, I share my thoughts on how I show gratitude and grace to what I’ve been fortune to experience. Hopefully, it’ll resonate with others. Enjoy.

This morning, I received a call from a job I applied for. The voicemail started off with ‘hey Curtis…’ and the message commence to give details about ‘Curtis’ getting the position vs. me.

Talk about feeling like I wasn’t worth enough to get the job and also feeling like ‘sheesh…how do you call the wrong candidate and leave a message about the other candidate getting the position’.

Yeah. More on that AND other positions I didn’t get in the episode. Gotta keep it pushing and stay positive, right? Enjoy.

I took an indirect week off but I'm BYKE with the talks and such.

Kendrick Lamar makes Black History Month blacker. Everyone has an opinion on R&B parties and the music played at them. Canva seems to be the best kept secret. That's enough to talk about this go 'round.

Hope everyone is good and moving correctly.

On this episode, I spoke on K. Dot's BLACK performance and the things surrounding Super Bowl 59. I also shared my logistic thoughts on R&B parties, being that I've seen more than a few people speak on the repetitiveness of the songs played. Lastly, I gave 5 tools that I won't walk this Earth with when it comes to creating content for my and The MPN Network brands.
